dont forget he outplayed Lebron*** 2 finals in a row on both ends of the floor and routinely makes "media darlings" like curry, klay, etc look very average

He's very average on offense and plays in a system that let him get the fmvp awards sort of by default, because even the best players on that team would be average stat wise in any other team. It's not like he was the dominant reason that they won the championship. Yeah, he outplayed bron, but bron played like shit too

Many accomplished much more... and even more were actually great players, not just average guys riding the cottails of a stacked complementary team with goat coaching / system, he is a great defender though....

Stop overrating...

i wonder what he would do if he didn't play for Pop, who is a system player. Any star playing under him would have average stats.

If Kawhi had his own team i can see him putting up 27-11-5 on >50%FG.

bran got murked by this kid. Who reacts like this to his defender checking in other than someone who is supremely shook?

By the time Magic Johnson was 23 years old, he'd already appeared in three NBA finals and won two MVP's. He had also earned a first-team all NBA and second-team all NBA selection as well; not to mention leading league in assists and steals twice.

And just as impressively as that is, Magic Johnson also averaged a triple double of 18 points, 10+ rebounds and over 10+ assists in his first 48 playoff games over that time.

So two pages now and I've yet to see another 23 year old get mentioned with a resume as equally impressive as Kawhi's... :confusedshrug:
