Lychees are awesome. I'd eat more, but they aren't always available around here(like Sapodilla) and when they are, they're like $8+/pound. In China, they're probably pennies a pound. :lol

Actually the lychee is a subtropical fruit that requires seasonal temperature variations for optimal production. Lychees originated in Southern China, and they are the world's number one producer and consumer of lychee.

^^^^

I heard mangosteen is freakin awesome but it doesn't grow well here in the states because it's a true tropical tree and it doesn't do good even in Florida and California. Plus the seeds remain viable for only a few days after being removed from the fruit.

Are you sure that's a cherimoya? Looks like a sugar apple, the cousin of the cherimoya. Most of the cherimoya I've had do have bumpy skin though unlike the photo I posted. My favorite variety is Fino de Jete. My uncle has a few trees of this variety and sends us fruits.

I see you posted a pic of durian. What does that taste like? I have heard it smells like death when you open it up. I've tasted it's relative, the jackfruit once, and I didn't like it....at all.

**** outta here with that horrible durian fruit. Smells like rotting flesh and tastes disgusting. In Thailand there are signs everywhere basically telling you not to eat it in public, and it's banned from most hotels. That's some nasty shit, shame on you for posting.

Dragon fruit (pitaya) though
You redeemed yourself with that. You can stick it in the freezer, and scoop it out like icecream. Easily one of the GOAT fruits

^^^To add some durian smell descriptions:
"smells like a gym sock"
"smells like turpentine"
"smells like raw sewage"

Nasty.

Is ginup considered a fruit? If so that's my #1. I'll push bananas out for it. ****ing loved these. It grows in my country (Guyana) and I believe other carribean places.
