Dude has been incredible so far in the playoffs.
Killing the Clippers in game 3 after averaging 21/8/3 on 57 percent through the first two games. And winning the D-Player of the year.
If he can consistently keep a 2013 Paul George level of scoring then the dude is top 6 player in the league.
Amazing how the Spurs take their game to another level every year in the playoffs.

It's rare for a young, athletic player to be so fundamentally sound. His scoring looks effortless.

Kawhi is a star the question is will he reach superstar status and be top five player in NBA remains to be seen. Kawhi is a beast though.

I didn't expect him to be this good, this fast. It's shocking. He's creating his own shot consistently. He must've really worked on his game. He keeps playing like this, he will be "the man" for the Spurs for the next 10 years.

Seriously, it feels like the ONLY thing the Spurs ever didn't get right was Richard Jefferson.
99.9 percent of the time, it's been the right decision EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Nope. Trading Scola to get rid of Jackie Butler's contract was worse. If they had kept Scola, they wouldn't have needed Bonner, Blair or McDyess (those were dark days as a SA fan - would never believe they'd contend again) - possibly another championship - well, with RJ - maybe not.
They shouldn't have stood pat after the 2007 championship, but I don't blame them. When you win, don't rock the boat too much and they couldn't have foreseen the KG/Allen and Gasol trades.

So, AC-gate is the reason why Spurs raped Heat in 2014 NBA finals. Revisionist history.

Seriously. Anyone who hates that the Spurs win a lot should not be a fan of the NBA. They play team ball, are willing to sacrifice personal stats for the team and have kept adding players that other teams have misused and turned them into good system players.
They are not my team...but I respect the hell out of them and really want them to win every year for the good of the league. The Hawks have a chance to do this as well since Bud seems like a prime disciple of this theory.

People need to come around to the idea that Mr Leornard (seriously fix this thread its embarrassing) is already a top 3 player and I could argue he is the best player in the league right now.
Did you see what he did to CP3 last night? And then he took Blake Griffin and had him talking to himself. All while pouring in 32 points in 28 min on .828 TS%.
I mean he singlehandedly DESTROYED the best offensive team in basketball defensively. Then pillaged their carcasses with his offense.

Danny Green was the one who killed CP3 defensively. Give the man his credit now. :durantunimpressed:

They both did. Kawhi took the ball from him several times and pushed him away from his comfort zones. What little success he did have was ALL on Green. Both were amazing. And Pop looked like Kasparov playing chess against a kid. LAC didn't get into ANY of their pet plays and were taken out of everything they like to do. It was incredible.

He is the most disruptive defensive player since probably Olajuwon and is an elite offensive threat too. His impact to the game over the last two months has been unmatched. And it hasn't been close. Now maybe thats because he has more legs because he missed ~20 games and his minutes have been handled. Still, If I'm picking for a game tomorrow he is going before almost anyone else.

You are seeing just exactly what the '60s Celtics were about. Stacked deep at every position - 5, 6 , 7 Hall of Famers - and so they could sit their guys a lot.
When playoffs came around they weren't as tired as all the other teams, which had 2 or maybe 3 stars.... they were still Hall of Fame caliber, but not exhausted.

This. Saw a lot of MJ in his game last night offensively and he along with Green ruined CP3's night.
I was skeptical of Kawhi but now I'm a believer. The future of the NBA is in safe hands with Kawhi, Irving, Davis, Curry and Durant (except Durant thinks Kawhi's only a system player :facepalm .)

This. It's incredible how smooth and under control he is working for his shot. He is decisive and intelligent not forcing in double teams.
Kawhi will lead the Spurs at LEAST to the WCF if not the Finals and and if he gets another FMVP his name should be mentioned up there as top 5 in the league.
**** that system player bullshit. This kid is a monster in the making.

Exactly
People study ppg analytics way to intently. Put Kawhi on a lesser team and his ppg average rises dramatically. His intangibles and ability to play on both sides of the court really up his value. The kid is a stud...
