Spurs up 30 on the Clippers.

Duncan with a grand total of 4 points, 7 rebs, on 2-6 shooting. :lol

Yet you fools will slurp on his churro and pretend like he is still the go to guy on this Spurs team.

Duncan: winning roleplayer rings since 2007.

the beauty of the spurs is that they have numerous players who know when to play a role and when to take over. Duncan is almost 39 now, if he takes a night off that's nothing to be embarrassed about.

In the 07 post-season he averaged 22/11/3 with 3 blocks.

Total roleplayer

One game removed from 28/11 on 14/23 shooting and now he's a role player? Get the **** out of here.

Sure, if players like Milsap, Horford, Pau, Z-Bo are also role players.

Duncan has been high role player for years now his impact is underrated though it goes beyond stats. Once in a while Duncan will have a great game that's flashback like game 2 against Clippers.

oh the horror

He essentially carried the team himself last game. Or did we forget that?

Duncan gives the team whatever it needs. Game 3, at home, the other players are hitting - his scoring isn't needed - save something for game 4. Game 2, on the road, nobody is hitting, Parker leaves early, Manu fouls out - the team needs scoring and that's what he does.

He can do whatever the hell he want.

Spurs are en route to another title, and he'll pass Jordan as the greatest ever.

the dude is old as hell but only a fool would deny that he is still the most important piece in the spurs. Its one of those rare cases where intangibles really are more important than stats.

He just turned 39 after carrying the entire team in Game 2 playing 44 minutes.

And why would he need to put up numbers in a fckig blowout game? LOL

Dumb ass OP.

- He is 39 years old, so he has to give just the necessary effort (or get gassed)

Duncan is far from a role player but I doubt there's serious conversation about him passing Michael Jordan on any arbitrary all-time lists because of winning another ring.

Crazy vampires.

He is not a roleplayer. If he was a roleplayer, then you could just take him out of the game and barely get worse (atleast for a couple of games, you can't win with a depleted roster).
In reality SAS without Duncan would be defeated by the Clippers. Mainly because of defense, but leadership and toughness also contribute to his continued success over the years.
