He had a chance to go to Indiana or team up with Dwight in Atlanta and didn't bite. Now he has to run into the Spurs, OKC, and Memphis in the west every year with this soft ass team. Dumbass.

He already "made it". He signed a 100 million dollar contract and is set for life, he will still be remembered as a top PG and one of the best players in NBA history.

"Teaming up" and winning some jewelry isn't as crucial to these guys as we all like to believe, there are more important things he worries about on daily basis. Idk why ISH always overreacts to this shit, these guys get paid millions to play a ****ing game but we got people acting like their lifes are finished after 1 bad loss, as if everyone wouldn't trade their place with Chris Paul in a second. :oldlol:

At which time he is longer good enough to demand a max contract. Players don't give up money during their prime money making years.

And it's not like the Clippers have no chance to win a chip. They are one of the most talented teams in the league.

That's because fans are completely removed from anything other than winning. And they only know players lives on the court. Players are out to get paid.
Has anyone in history ever given up 20 million guaranteed?

Because Fredo got Mike D'Antoni for Nash (who was there because Stern blocked CP3).

Because Nash got injured.

Because D'Antoni made Pau an appendix.

Because Dwight Howard left because of D'Antoni.

Because Kobe played himself into the ground as a result of all of this.

Dirk was offered a full max from the Rockets.

He gave up a ton if you don't factor in any side deals he has with Cuban.

Dude just flat out chokes in the playoffs every time, he has his good games here and there throughout series but he has never dominated a series every game from start to finish.

Not a top 5 player for me.

2.Durant
3.Davis
4.Westbook
5.Curry/Harden

The thing with Dirk tho, he came from money. His dad was a legendary handball player or some sh!t. He has always been rich and money was never a problem so for someone like him, turning down a few million doesn't mean jack sh!t.

On top of this, and this fact made me respect the hell out of Dirk, he hasn't spent a single cent of his NBA earnings since his rookie year. He drives a cheap ass toyota and lives in a modest flat.

When he is on he is ****ing brilliant, but sometimes it seems he gets stuck between two worlds, his assisting and scoring game and it all sort of falls apart. He needs to learn how to get his own without resorting to chucking. Resort to assisting when his shot aint falling and vice versa.

You gotta be joking, right?

Chris Paul got paid 20 million dollars MORE to live in LA as opposed to Atlanta.

Hmm Hollywood (which he is interested in to begin with), rich and famous, great beaches compared to hood rat ass ATLANTA!???!?! :lol

Not to mention LA is a much bigger market that is super passionate about basketball unlike the Hawks fanbase which is one of the worst in the entire NBA:oldlol:

The icing on the cake, though, is the extra money he made from playing for a team in LA. He probably easily cleared 10-20M extra in the course of his contract from marketing deals due to him playing on the Clippers

Let me just get this straight, you would leave all those benefits behind AND take 30-40 MILLION less to play in Atlanta with Dwight Howard.

CP3 right now makes 5.5 million off endorsements.

So basically I sign a 4 year deal instead of a 5, 20 million less guaranteed, and have the opportunity to compete for a championship with no pressure, and I get to buy a pad in Atlanta? Oh and I'm in the prime of my career and the year my contract ends I'm still young enough that I can potentially sign for a 9 figure max deal?

He should have gotten $100 million in his last deal. He probably got under paid over $20 million or so. How won't ever recover those dollars. The Warriors can't increase his pay in his next deal. The money he lost is money he will never see.
