Yeah, I read about it late last night when friend of mine from Gujarat, India felt it in Western India. Truly a devastating blow.. Deaths, homes destroyed, stores, their livelihood.. Nepal is one of the poorest countries out there. :(
The entire Indian subcontinent was been impacted. RIP. Hopefully they can get things back to normal. Just unfortunate.

And subsequently 10 people died on Mt. Everest from an avalanche as a result of the earthquake.

I only heard about it through Facebook, buried underneath some Jenner bullshit headlines.
Apparently 6.6 million people were affected by it, I hope the relief efforts go well.

I do not watch CNN anymore. CNN, Fox News, NBC all are terrible. They provide little news value anymore - they are good for just nonsense. I get most of my news from Yahoo and the news slider on right side of Facebook.

My buddy I met teaching in Korea is over there, he's been posting pics to facebook. Looks brutal. I know he had returned from base camp the day before

Do you kill your sims just for fun?
So on everest looks like everybody on the north side is ok only the expeditions on the south had casualties.
The climbers at camps one and two are fine but trapped at 20k+ feet because the ice fall that seperates camp one from base camp has become impassable for the moment, so they'll have to be helicoptered back down to base camp once the injured at base camp are taken out.
Reading death toll is over 20 now. Btw the icefall is the same area where they had the avalance last year that killed all those sherpa

It's the top story on Google news. For what it's worth, I don't see anything mentioning Jenner in the top stories.
There was a 6.7 aftershock. For perspective, that's the size of the 94 Northridge quake that caused $20 billion dollars worth of property damage in LA.
Death toll's over 2,400 right now. Jesus...

Jesus. I got chills for a second as it hit, the tone in their voices was so unnerving.

It was pure terror. Can't imagine what it felt like. At least 17 dead from the base camp avalanche (http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/mount-everest-avalanche-survivors-flown-to-hospital-others-hit-with-aftershocks-1.3049337). Sounds like there will be more casualties found as the area stabilizes, quite a few injured too.

Yeah, because one of these events did not occur after the other.
