Doctor said that its an issue with the eye/eye socket..

Doesn't sound good.. Watching it happen wouldn't be suprised if it's a fractured eye socket

Really hope it's nothing serious.. 2nd round matchup has potential to be very good.. Without Conley it's over

If true, that's a huge loss for the Grizzlies.

blood on towel maybe a good sign .. suggests that not all the hit landed on the eye/eye socket.

yea hope it's nothing serious

Hey guys, let's not count him out yet. I searched for this:
"JUST IN: Reported to be a broken anterior chamber within his eye socket. Not good..will need surgery, definitely will be out for the year."

on google, and absolutely nothing.

In fact, even searching "Conley anterior chamber" doesn't bring up anything at all. I think this guy is trolling.

His left eye is reportedly very swollen, and it was obvious that he was in a lot of discomfort when he left the floor. It's possible that Conley could be forced to miss some time, but we should know more after we hear the results of the tests. If Conley does end up missing some action, Beno Udrih (ankle) should be ready to go for Game 4 and would likely start, while Nick Calathes will have to step up as well

looked more like aggressively protecting the ball.. I mean you could make a case for his elbow being too high but he's way down in a dribble crouch.

meanwhile this is hurting an opponent while down by 20 in 4q:

I suggest you watch it again. Of course you can use your hands to protect the ball. But he was extending it to hurt, not to protect...

Maybe the Grizz should actually lose a couple to the Blazers to give Conley some time to get back for the next series :lol

You can't find it because there is no such thing as an anterior chamber in the eye socket. :hammerhead:

He wasn't even looking at Conley. It wasn't intentional.

It's a natural shielding reaction against someone lunging for a steal. Just unfortunate Conley's head came in at the angle it did. Definitely no attempt to injure, IMO.

Hope he's 100% or close for the Warriors-Grizzlies... Quality of the series (and ofc Memphis' chances) would be considerably diminished, otherwise.

Smart thing to do would be to sit him out next game and not rush him back, if they win it's still quite a few days before the next series and if they lose they can bring him back for Game 5 at home to close it.

Mike Conley Injury: Updates on Grizzlies Star's Eye and Return

The Memphis Grizzlies confirmed that Conley will not play in Game 4:

@MConley11 will return to #Memphis for further evaluation of a facial injury sustained in Game3 vs #Blazers. He's out tmrw for Game4.

Yeah, apparently he's getting surgery to fix multiple facial fractures.

One of those fractures is in the anterior chamber, as I mentioned last night. A friend of mine's sister is a nurse at the hospital that's treating him.

Looks like he is alright. This is great, it would of robbed the fans of a great series.
