I know hating bread has been a hype in recent years, but it's untrue and you need to stop being a parrot.

Maybe cheap mass produced American bread made from refined flour and full of sugar is terrible for you. Doesn't mean all bread everywhere is. For people in North-Western Europe bread is the staple food for 2 out of 3 meals every day, and they are generally the tallest, strongest and healthiest people in the world. Some pseudo-scientific bullshit doesn't trump that.

Haha, whatever bro. I eat meat, vegetables, and other good stuff - I'm much healthier than all those Danish folk. White folk bread is bullshit, and terrible for people.

Yeah whole grains are awful and have no place in the success of the human species through time. Celiac disease is real prevalent too. Because you could obviously survive through early ages of man while selecting against one of our main sources of sustenance  .

Anyway. I love to make sourdough rye, challah, stollen, and other braided celebration breads.

"What's your favourite bread?" is bar none the most interesting thread on the first two pages of this message board. Dark days.

Is Garlic bread an acceptable answer? Oh, good call Garlic naan, J$. I love those little f*cking kings Hawaiian rolls. I usually get some soft, ultra grainy shit when I go to the deli. Can't go wrong with potato bread on an OG turkey sandwich. Croissants and onion bagels are breakfast pleasures.

I don't think it should countr, I mean I've eaten garlic bread in thousand different types of bread, it just a bread filled with garlic. It is not a specific type of bread. Try again, sir.

I like Baguette, Pita, Italian bread.

Bread as in the kind of bread you buy to eat? Or like what you want at a restaurant?

As for at home it's

I really like warm italian bread to eat if I'm having a good meal. Any of those really soft white breads are gg to me.

OH shit @ mention of banana bread. Yea no doubt.

I think that's something America needs to do better. I'm lucky that here we have the french and italian influence of fine dining and it allows for grocery stores to fresh bake bread and pastries daily for relatively cheap. You just have to go there early before they sell out. And no one should buy presliced bread...

Is there anything more obnoxious than people who get all righteous over food and whatever sketchy knowledge they may have about what is and isn't healthy?

When it comes to long-term health we really know ****-all about food, and every time the government goes on some campaign (like it did against butter and fat), it usually replaces it with something at least as harmful, if not more so. It has futilely wasted masses of money funding idiotic dietary studies that haven't done anything to reduce the obesity problem. Not to mention how dependent these things will be on individual metabolisms, and therefore have variable effects among various people.

A lot of it is just basic common sense, and being active is likely the most important thing. Simple things like standing up when you read or talk on the phone actually make a significant difference. Too many people spend something like 20 hours a day on their arses, and we clearly aren't built for that.

edit: oh, and, Italian breads: Ciabatta, Focaccia, etc.

:oldlol: Dude don't you realize that 90% of people have gluten sensitivities? How utterly un-PC of you.

I'm with J$ with the naan and turkish pita. There's a Turkish restaurant I go to when I'm in Chapel Hill that makes the best pita I've ever had. I don't know what their secret is but it just melts in your mouth. Better than any I've had in other Turkish/Mediterranean restaurants.
