Reminds me a lot of KG...both the positives and negatives.

A 20/10 series from a rookie duncan would have been more impactful.

Agreed on the KG comparison but has alot to catch up on the defensive end.

To be fair, he is only 22, but I still don't think his defensive impact lives up to the numbers at this point in this career. I'm not saying he's a crap defender, because he's a good one, but yeah.

Still, even though his overall impact probably didn't quite live up to his numbers, 31-11-3 on 54% shooting in his first playoff series is really impressive.

Amazing series by him against a historically great team. Swept or not, for his age to dominate like that is damn impressive.

Big offseason coming up for the Peli's. Have to find a way to improve that roster.

Empty stats, career loser, stat padder. Right?

I think they said the same thing about Lebron early in his career, as well.

Hell, they likely said it about MJ in his first six seasons.

Yep exactly what I meant, his numbers don't reflect his impact IMO can't wait to see the beast he's gonna become though

He was mostly great, unfortunately he was up against the best team in basketball right now. If NO were playing a lesser team, they would have had a much better chance at winning.

Great numbers but NO still doesn't go to him enough. They don't just come down and give it to him enough and let him go to work. He has to manufacture a lot of points by running the court, rolling on pick and rolls, and offensive rebounds. When he gets the ball, he's very capable of creating or scoring. Then he would be having more impact on the game. So its not his fault in this case.

There's no such thing as empty Playoff stats. Every possession counts.

This is why I have a problem with fans and media

first the narrative was that for him to be great and not put up empty stats, he would have to lead a team to the Playoffs first.

Well, he led a shitty Pelicans team with a semi-injured roster and with Monty fricken Williams to the Playoffs while putting up some of the greatest regular season numbers EVER and he put up monster stats in the POs against a team no one gave them hope to win against anyways, and now he's a choker and his stats are empty?

FYI, Pelicans were 39-29 in the 68 games with him, 6-18 without..Jrue missed 42 games, Anderson 21, Gordon 21... They had a chance to win a game or two in the series and that's impressive considering their roster and it's hardly his fault when he put up great numbers while no starter even put up a league average 15 PER, Reke was GARBAGE, Anderson and Gordon to me were the only players that really contributed. Cunningham was really effective, and he only got 18 minutes a game...

Keep in mind he did this against the best defensive team in the league as well. Bogut and Green are no joke either.

At this point it's just preaching to the choir. Like 90% of us think he's already a top 5 or even top 3 player right now, who has the potential to be one of the all time greats. There's just the 10% that post as much as the other 90% who do nothing but hate.

31/11 with 3 blocks and 2 steals? 51% FG while also shooting 89% from FT%? That's a beast in every sense of the word. He did it against the best offensive and defensive team in the league too.

hard to win by your self...

as much as i love eric gordon dude is like an oj mayo kinda situation.. yes sure he can still give you some production like mayo could do.. but not like the eric gordon who was supposed to make james harden a run for his money.. he got the contract already and got hurt...

tyreke evans bleh... i don't know

jrue holliday got injured even though cole played well at spurts... having a healthy jrue could have made atleast a game of a difference...

we all thought that asik was supposed to be the perfect compliment for davis and that's not the case... he is like perk after boston :D

davis needs help consistently with the way the league is played today... you have to have at least 3 guys that you can rely on every given night.

I just hope that eric gordon still has something in his young career dude is just 26 but i can only hope for the best and expect the worst.. if they don't get something out of gordon they should consider shipping both evans and gordon elsewhere...

on davis though... nothing to be ashamed of... dude tried to carry his team but cant against arguably the best team that GSW ever had.
