This was maybe the most important game of his career. He came off one of his worst performances ever in game 3 with his team down 2-1 against the defending champs; who knows what would've happened to this team if they would've lost today? Despite the pressure, he responds beautifully by hitting clutch shots and taking control of the game.

This was almost like his version of Bron's game 6 against the Celtics in 2012 (no where near as good obviously).

Did you read the parentheses?

I agree with him. If the Clips went down 3-1 and Paul was likely to be out of the playoffs early AGAIN, then his legacy becomes pretty much non-existent.

Obviously he didn't have as much on the line as Lebron, and obviously he didn't dominate as thoroughly, but i can see the comparison.

Agreed.

Too bad it means nothing according to many posters on here.

Apparently how players play the game doesn't matter anymore.

Why do people keep saying this was the most important game of his career? I would think that it was last year's Game 7 against the Thunder. They had that series.

I read it as "one of the most important games of his career" when people say that.

It was his most important game up to this point.

Unlike this year, last year they at least had one more guaranteed year to fall back on. Going forward, DJ will be a free agent and might leave, the west will be even tougher with a healthy KD, and Paul will be turning 31 by this time next year. People were/are already talking about breaking this team up if they lose in the 1st round.

Just imagine how embarrassing it would've been if they would've lost today. Look at all the "CP3 choker" threads that popped up after they lost game 3. His entire reputation was on the line today.

Dude played like the best PG in the league. THAT is how a lot of us expect Chris to play though. What a lot of us know he's capable of.

The Clips have homecourt, and are NOT underdogs in this series despite what many think. If CP can stay aggressive and set the tone, they'll be a tough out for anybody.

It's BECAUSE they lost that game 7 last year this year became more important.

Cp3 about to take out the best team in the league. Best point guard around. Steph curry is nothing.

so true, we've known what he was since he was drafted

no need to waste time watching games to evaluate him
