I honestly can't remember the last time a 5th seed actually SWEPT a 4th seed. I'm not sure if it's ever happened. I don't even think the Wizards homers predicted this to be a sweep. Completely shocking.

Sad thing is, a lot of us Raptor fans aren't really surprised.

I'm pretty sure it has happened before. If not, it's bout to happen again tomorrow with Grizzle and Trail(by a huge margin)Blazers.

lowry back to his lazy ass again after that sweet contract...he tried though in his first year of the contract so gotta give him props...but dont expect to see him play well until that contract year again

They were a much better team last season. Kyle Lowry was playing hurt in this year's playoffs.

I wish Derozan work on his game in the off season. He needs to be an efficient player.

no pun intended

I can't believe Dwane Casey is still coaching.

Didn't follow Eastern conference that much but didn't Raptors played like absolutely trash in the 2nd half of the season?
Still, the Wizards isn't that good a team.

Toronto sports fans have a very long history of knowing not to get excited about any of their teams.

They are some reports surfacing that he's most likely done after this series.

I still can't believe Leafs fans allow the franchise to suck and rob the fans of their money for such overpriced tickets to watch a team get completely destroyed every game, year after year...

How the hell do Toronto fans still cheer for that shit?

It's called loyalty. If you only root for a team when they are good it's called bandwagon.

This year was the first year there was some rebellion by the fans, media, and management didn't take the players crap. They are starting to look at a full rebuild. It's going to take a full 4-5 years (2-3 if they strike gold getting Connor McDavid) to build a he great team through the draft and change the culture. No more short term goals.

I also think it's just passionate fans being who they are. A city with almost 3 million in the GTA still want to stand by the franchise, death due them part.

I understand loyalty well, I follow news about LeBron James very closely. But there needs to be line drawn when the fans quit putting up with the franchise's complete disregard for success.

They're being taken for fools. If management made legit efforts to bring some success to the team (championship or not) I'd understand. But the Leafs strategy goes like this;

'Sign whoever and it doesnt matter, the fans will come and overpay for a shit team.'

You know loyalty works two ways, right?

They got completely outclassed by the Wizards. It's as if they didn't want to be in the playoffs. I honestly think an Indiana Pacers team that didn't make the playoffs would put up a better fight.(to be fair they probably would've made it with healthy PG13 all season)

Swept and completely destroyed in game 4. Pathetic.
They've been absolute shit since the all star break so it shouldn't be a surprise

Hard to believe that at one point of the season, the Raptors were one of the best teams in the NBA. They ended their season horribly.

Yea the team took a nosedive after the all-star break. I remember thinking it was just a funk that the Raptors would break out by the time the playoffs came around, but it never happened.

they aren't getting mcdavid lol the lottery order is already decided

they are likely getting mitch marner or dylan strome

the leafs are bad because of the immense pressure to do well, the team never goes through a full rebuild but attempts to bring in fringe superstars such as phanuef and kessel, as well as a bunch of wash ups instead of blowing it up completely, i assume this will be a full rebuild

I think you mean 6 million in the GTA, but otherwise yes, your point is right. http://news.nationalpost.com/toronto/metro-toronto-population-blasts-above-six-million-according-to-stats-can-montreal-at-four-million#__federated=1

Completely shocking.

Not at all.. Btw, Pierce really is the truth.

Now I'm just waiting for CP3 and his team fold down the stretch as always, Lebron's inevitable underachievement and the playoffs will be in full swing.
