Irving: 23.3/5.0/4.3 on 58% TS, 1.2 TPG, 126 ORTG 104 DRTG, .248 WS/48
James: 27.0/9.0/6.5 on 53 TS%, 4.8 TPG, 104 ORTG 98 DRTG, .154 WS/48
I don't think its sustainable what with the small sample size, but thus far I'd say Irving is having a slightly more impressive playoffs.

It is close. Irving does benefit efficiency wise from being 2nd option to Lebron
I'd say Lebron just because he made more big plays when it counted
You've also left out the defensive stats. Lebron played some really inspired quality defense
2.3 steals 1.5 blocks a game

Toss-up. Lebron set the tone but Irving was hot.

Clearly Kyrie (the 5tos to 1 is really the big difference maker) - if Bron maintains such usage and inefficiency against a better team he will be responsible for the Cavs losing.

Kyrie for sure phenomenal offensive talent
1.2 turnovers is insane against Bradley/Smart and his shooting was mint as well as his handling, slashing and passing

It doesn't really matter. Let's wait until they face a real team.

to average just 1 turnover per game putting up those numbers vs avery bradley and marcus smart is god like

Clearly Irving. 4 turnovers and 6% shooting efficiency is a MASSIVE GAP. That's the difference between an average NBA starter and a D league player.

What do minutes have to do with anything?
More minutes=more time to produce pts/rbds/asts
and Lebron had a MUCH higher usage since he needs to dominate the ball to be effective (32% VS 24%). Kyrie had to work more offball and was still the center of Bostons perimeter defense of Bradley/Smart

Kyrie better be careful. Lebron will sabotage him like he did to Wade if he feels he's not getting Finals MVP over him.
Anyone who watched the series knows that the answer is Lebron.
What do minutes have to do with anything?
You would think if Kyrie was actually better, Blatt would play him more minutes than the 30 year old Lebron....

he payed more because the coach knew if he took lebron out they would fold. he needed Lebron in for the calming effect.

Kryie didn't see any real double teams or extra attention until game 3:coleman: Lebron was the one getting doubled in the post from game 1.

Nowhere else on the internet would this be a debate.
Lebron was easily the best player in the series. ISH always amazes me.

Let's see how the Bulls go against the Cavs, especially now that Love will most likely be out. There's a good chance that Kyrie and Lebron will both be double and triple teamed this time.
Boston wasn't a legit threat, let's be honest.

Dudes ITT are so wet in the p*ssy at any chance to try and diminish bran. It's unreal. If there's even the slightest bit of an argument against him, they jump on it like ducks at the pond when you throw bread crumbs.
LeBron was obviously better than Kyrie against Boston. There's no argument to be had.

Not sure if serious.
Its not really a far-fetched comparison. Irving shot way better and had 14 less turnovers. LeBron has his own case, but it's not like they were worlds apart.

04-27-2015, 04:28 PM
there are currently 4 players on the Cavs with a .200+ WS/48, none of them are Lebron
Kyrie was a lot more efficient overall, took 5.2 less shots a game and .3 less FTA to average 3.7 less points
This was against a team with no chance to win anyways, so it doesn't matter really. It was a team win to me, a Lebron didn't "carry" anyone.
I think we're seeing the end of the old Lebron, where he would put up Jordan/Kobe numbers. 6.5 assists to 4.8 turnovers is really sloppy.

I'd say they're about even. They both had nice moments against a very young, inexperienced team. Nothing to write home about, save for a pull and a punch maybe.

Due in large part to game 3, where he shot 3/11.
Either way, his TS% in those aforementioned last 3 games was .550, still higher than LeBrons.

Man Lebron haters ruin this forum ! They're seriously like the religious fundamentalists of the sports world... rationality goes down the drain because 'every means to an end' must be employed to make Lebron look bad. It's sad too, as I know there are a lot of folks on here with excellent bball knowledge.
Kyrie had an outstanding series. Lebron had a typical first round by his standards. e.g. outstanding. He was more impactful than Kyrie even in his worst game. That's not a knock on Kyrie. It's just Lebron's team...
I'm glad Kyrie has stepped up to the plate, despite the fact it makes the trolls of this forum salivate. Remember, Kobe and Jordan sycophants HAVE NEVER ONCE given Lebron credit for anything he's accomplished in his career! That's not gonna change regardless of how he performs from here on out.

126 offensive rating to 104? That's an absolutely massive d8fference.. one is high volume mediocre/slightly below average offense and the other is all time great offensive brilliance. the relatively small 6 pt difference in defense doesn't do anything to make up for it Either. It's kyrie and it's not even close.

Kyrie was great game 1 but shot under 40% the last 3 games
He had one poor shooting game.... the third one. And, he rightly limited his number of shots in that game because he knew it wasn't falling.
In the other three games of the series, he shot 27-of-58 (46.6%) from the field, 9-of-17 from three (52.9%), and 16-of-20 from the line (80.0%).
That is a very efficient series, especially when you throw in the 1.3 turnovers per game... which is pretty amazing considering the ball hawks Boston has on the perimeter.
Whether he was "better" than LeBron is completely insignificant. They're both better because of one another. What is clear is that Kyrie -- so far -- has kicked his game up a few notches and that is saying something because he had an awesome year.

I only watched 2 games of the series, but I'm guessing it was Bron seeing as he was better in both the games I watched.
Are some idiots on here actually pulling up usage figures, offensive ratings and win shares? I'm sure that is what you were calculating while watching the game. People talk about Bron and KD, and others caring too much about their stats, but here they are, bringing every stat imaginable into analyzing who was better over 4 games.
Shit is tiresome and boring. :oldlol:
