View Full Version : Who wins between the Cavs/Bulls?

No offense to the Bucks fans of the board but I'm assuming the Bulls win the series, although a comeback is certainly possible, it's unlikely.

So, with Love officially out for the entire series and the potential pending JR Smith suspension, who wins?

I'll say Bulls in a tough fought 7 game series.

Who cares Warriors gonna win it all anyway **** this series

I predicted the Bulls in 6 or 7 games before Love was out. That's still my assessment. I will be slightly surprised if the Cavs walk away with the series win.

Bulls should win in 5 games. Anything more than that would be disappointing.

Same. I also would have probably said Bulls regardless of the injuries.

Cavs have a better starting 5 but the Bulls starting 5 are no slouches.

Bulls have a deeper bench, they're better defensively, etc.

Damn if Lebron "superstar' James loses to a choker like Rose he will definitely go down a few spots on the all-time list.

Cavs are obviously the huge favorites, but it's hard to say...Lebron is a known choker

Cavs in 6. Lebron has been in a prolonged 'chill mode' since the finals, where he was excellent despite his team getting walloped. I think we will see him average 30+ppg and claim the biggest headlines in round 2. His ownage of Chicago is pretty well-documented.

The Cavs without Love & JR are still wayyyy better than the opening night roster. Lebron, Kyrie, Moz, TT, Shump will pick up the slack and form an excellent starting 5.

Hopefully JR will be back to finish the series. Should he be absent for 5+ games then this one [I]might[I] make it to 7.

But all these people favoring the Bulls. Like really? Based on what exactly?

Just overall the more talented and better team.

Its gonna be tough with now not 1, not 2 but 3 starters out but if Bron and Kyrie go crazy, we can still win. I expect Perkins, Marion to get Love and Smith's minutes. The good thing is, we always play very high energy at home and JR will only miss those first two games, then we get him back on the road. Still think its bs JR is out for two, while Harden got one for LeBron's nuts and Kelly O got 1 for Love. For sure its because of Smith's rep.

lmao Rose is like the 5th best player on our team. Pau, joa, Jimmy "G" Butler (G stands for gets), Taj, Niko are all better. We have the most stacked team of all time. Anything less than a sweep will be disappointing

If an Antentokoupo led team can take them to 7 games I don't see what's stopping kingrie from stomping them out in 4 or 5. Cavs are stacked with or without love and Jr.

kyrie wont beable to gaurd mcw, thats a huge mismatch, but the cavs should beat the bucks 4-3

Bulls in 6

Noah would dominate without Love and average 15 points and 18 rebounds.

Butler would do what Kawhi did to LeBron last year.

By allowing him to score nearly 30 pts on 50% shooting? This Bulls team is not offensively dominant as that Spurs team. If Lebron scores like that while actually getting contributions from Kyrie and the bench then it's going to be a very competitive series even if Love is out.

Varejao

People seem to have forgotten about him, but he was the Cavs starting Center before he got injured.

he's pretty damn good too, and he would really would have been nice to have to help deal with Noah, Gasol, and Gibson.

JR wasn't just a shot maker, he was playing really well defensively for the cavs. They gotta dust Marion off, they are going to need him to help defend the Bulls perimeter players as well as Noah. I HATE when Marion touches the ball though. He has trouble converting two feet from the basket.

Series can go either way. Cavs going to come in a lot fresher and the Bulls D is not what it used to be. Blatt is going to have to get creative to deal with the lack of size/spacing Love provided.

Droid101

Probably the Cavs... they can effectively play small since Noah can do nothing on offense.

Cavs in 6. They still have (by far) the best two players in the series. Talent wins, folks.

Not to mention the Bulls are getting all they can handle from a .500 Bucks team right now.

Lebron can play 4 and 5 against anyone in Chicago.

The Cavs have guards unlike the Bulls.

Fudge

Cavs should still win comfortably. Just overall the more talented team with the 2 best players in the series. They should be the favorites.

 F*cking Cavs fans, how disingenuous saying you're missing 3 "starters" when Varejao wouldn't be starting over Mozgov even if he were 100% healthy.

You mentioned that having the two best player's in the series 'guarantees' you a series victory, I was just commenting on how your premise doesn't have any merit by showing you an example in which a team which often has the two best player's has consistently lost to better 'teams'.

But fine I won't bring logic in this debate, you go have a conversation with a monkey, you'll fit in better there.

So talent level = championship

right?

The fact that you actually think that you can have a conversation with a monkey proves my point exactly.
