David Griffin presser on now.
Says he will be surprised if K Love will make it back, surgery is on the table. Extensive damage was done.
Sh*t.
Has a doctor given a diagnosis yet? That's all I want to hear, what kind of injury it is.

This was to be expected, a seperated shoulder is a major injury, not something you recover from in a couple of weeks.
Terrible luck for the Cavs, but these things happen. They still have an outside shot at making the finals, but I can't see them beating the Spurs or Warriors once they get there.

Anyone who seen the play already knew this and I agree as I said in the game thread the cavs have zero chance to beat the west now thanks to that dirty white hippie. Second year in the league already a dirty piece of sheet. When the cavs play the celts next I expect an epic record worthy beat down.

Weak. No matter who you cheer for you shouldn't want to see things like this. What is there to be proud of when you beat someone at less than their best?
You take the W sure....but you never get the full satisfaction(im still annoyed the Lakers lost Worthy and Scott in 91). And I'm taking anyone....not the bulls vs Cavs if we win. These things **** up whole seasons of speculation.....
As I always say most great teams are the right two injuries from a ring or an early flame out. Who makes it through healthy determined a huge chunk of the title winners. But people still measure individuals by rings......
That said....the Cavs can still play with anyone.

ill say this too, if love had been playing on a team like the spurs or warriors and this happened the media and people would be outraged. instead since he plays on the cavs it gets passed off, the play was straight dirty no if ands or buts. no exceptions, a one game suspension and meh reaction from the nba is disturbing and looks very bad. if nothing else you would think there would atleast be backlash against the refs.

In that clip Blair went for the basketball, Olynyk did not, he went Love's arm. Not the same thing at all.

No.
Dislocated shoulder = Pop it back in and get back for the second half.
Separated Shoulder = Out for 4-6 weeks
Torn labrum = surgery, gone for the year. And thats if this happened a month ago.
There were quite a few other complications on top of the shoulder separation and labral tear. I knew it was done when they announced what the injury was yesterday.

When that injury occurs look at where Olynyk is, which direction he is going, and where the ball is. He is getting back on defense. He is a mile from the ball and going the wrong way.
Grabbing and holding a guy when he isn't moving isn't dangerous and is sadly all too common in the league. But a force 1/10th when a guy is in the air or moving the other way can have dire consequences. Love is going towards the baseline to get the ball; Olynyk is going back to play defense and grabs and holds Love's arm. That is absolutely a dirty play. If you don't think so tell a buddy to run one way, you run the other and tell him to grab your arm with enough force that your shoulder would fail before the grasp.
Did he mean to hurt Love? No, almost certainly not. Was the injury caused by a dirty and dangerous play that had no rational basketball excuse? Yup.

It shouldn't even be in limbo now. Just get the surgery down ASAP and start the rehab process now. It shouldn't even be a question at this point with the torn ligaments and damage. Time to move on from it and just expect to play without him and start the game plan.

Also, just to state my opinion on the injury, not that it matters really, but I don't think Olynyk meant to hurt him. I do think he purposely locked up his arm and pulled it. Maybe out of frustration to keep Love from getting to the ball. Olynyk just made a stupid non-basketball move. Players lock up arms all the time, but they didn't accidentally lock up arms fighting for the ball, Olynyk wrapped his arm up and pulled it.

This happens every single game. Savvy rebounders like Chandler will pretend to have their arm pinned by an opposing player, but in actuality are holding the arm down themselves. Literally happens several times a game if you have some elite rebounders in the game.

Locking the arm guaranteed the ball got to the Boston player right in front of them... Pulling it would keep Love from being anywhere near the drive by the Boston player, that's what I clearly see in the replay..

As we can all see, it shows how stacked the Cavs are that they can lose a player of Kevin Love's caliber and still be among the top teams.
Being so stacked and with the constant ref help LeFlop gets, they've still got the easy road to winning it all. If they don't, it's another huge black mark on LeFlop's career.

God. You are so annoying.
I understand the truth can be difficult to hear sometimes. But getting upset at those brave enough to speak it won't take the pain away. Nor make it any less true.
Facing unpleasant realities is part of growing up.
