He went super weak in GT. Everyone did except Goku and eventually Vegeta. I'm hoping Gohan takes over as the top fighter with Goten and Trunks right behind. Goku and Vegeta need to age out a bit.

It is the same mentality as Hollywood making movies off comic books. Those kids who fanatically read/watch comics and/or manga are now adults with disposable incomes. So what is a logical way to take entertainment money off them?

Toriyama himself is handling this new series so it shouldn't be that bad.

I'm going to watch it, but I don't really like the plot holes of the new movies. Akira Toriyama forgetting things. It makes feel doubtful on the quality of the new series. Like he thought SSJ3 was SSJ2, lol. Bulma's age is screwed up in the movie, King Kai's planet wasn't supposed to be in there, and Goten and Trunks still look like they are 8 and 9. Also the tone is a little more...child like?

Whatever. I do hope that they focus on other characters other than Goku and Vegeta this time around. It would be nice if they shine upon Goten, Trunks and Gohan. And this was supposed to be a ten year time peace in the original series, right?

I would rather them just take a piece from what Dragonball Xenoverse did and just go to the Future Trunks timeline and explore crap there.

Nah, it was about Goku until a certain point and then it changed back.

It was supposed to end at the Freiza saga with Goku turning SSJ.

Then it was supposed to end with the Cell Saga with the passing of the torch to Gohan.

Gohan was supposed to be the main character after that, but the fans and editors wanted Goku, so Goku was back being the main character with Gohan being the strongest non fused character among the Z fighters.

Akira constantly wanted to pass the torch to another character, but it never happened. But it's been a while so I think Akira forgot his key plot points in the storyline. And judging by the movies, I'm not really excited the quality of the series. His character designs are still pretty sweet tho.

I feel like he lost a step, but we'll see.

gohan had a major role i should of reworded how i said it.DBZ was all about goku but i doubt most people want to see adult gohan as the protagonist.
