Planet Fitness is $10 if there's one in your area.

Very good, I pay but this is based on a yearly membership 60 dollars a month.(+/- dollars for exchange rate)

If you pay month by month at my gym it is about 80-90 dollars. Although this specific gym is a chain with multiple locations and you can go to anyone of them. And it is very big.

Also I suppose it depends on how good the gym is but 10 dollars is good as long as they have weights and showers.

Jameer,

That is on the cheap side.

I pay $30 for mine.

I know some gyms charge $10 a month, while it's a good deal, they gym is run down. The equipment is always out of order and the clientele isn't exactly all that great. No gym etiquette.

At my gym, it is always fresh, equipment don't stay out of order for longer than an hour. People wipe down the equipment if they get sweat on them. I have a universal steam room and sauna, opposite sexes are allowed.

If you don't any other facilities but weights and cardio machines then it's a great deal since like the post above, it might be a below-average gym.

get that shit if you can afford it. cheap as fxck. $30/mo or under is a good deal on a nice gym. A nice gym can eaily run $75/mo, or maybe for a nice LA or NYC gym could be over $100/mo

Why people pay that much unless you actually use its expensive programs that comes with the package every single days?

Yup, I gymmed there before it is quite awesome, has a pool, spa and the had these fun activites like Zumba and shit.

You get a rebate if you have a yearly membership but still about 100 dollars a month there.

Planet Fitness is great as far as bang for your buck. Only downfall is no basketball courts (at least the ones I have seen).

Yep. The ones nearest me are usually by a Y, so guys just kind of drift over there and play because the court isn't fenced in and is accessible through the street.:lol

I started there when I was with a girl, so we used to do stuff like bodypump (really silly), zumba, salsa, poweryoga, water activites. Spend time and exercise. I thought it was enjoyable but got boring. Anyway my current gym also have these stuff but not as sophisticated or extensive as at PF. Also no pool.

The pools at the gyms are not deep fool.

They don't want u to drown. You can just walk.

Whatever you do, don't go to huge gyms like LA Fitness. Way better off at a university gym or a smaller one near a business area.

A&M

Yea they got a court too but they say it be a lot of nonsense going on there.

UAH gym is better but it cost more.

I know there are some YMCAs around but they might not be close to you.

Cheap membership prices attract cheap members which equate to a packed gym with poor gym etiquette.
I'll pay the extra for the better experience

15 a month for gym? That is insane value. I pay $45 a month for mine.

I miss going to my university gym which had platforms and what not for Olympic lifting, but I've gone away from that, and don't really need it.

As long as you have a bench and squat rack set up, you're fine. Even if not, plenty of other stuff you can do for legs.

lol ****ing suckers.

I paid $800 bucks up front in 2002 for a three year membership, and now I have a grandfather clause for $50 per year forever at 24 hour fitness, forever.

Suck it bitches.

Shit club.

I am with a local club and the owner has expanded to 5 locations and it is better than any 24hr or Planet Fitness club.

My gym has a combination of honeys and great equipment. I can do a full body workout and then take my shirt off in a room full of women, in a yoga class, since classes are free for all members.

I have to get my cuts though. Bulking sucks.

Love it.

Prepare to have a rundown gym within the next couple of years. Without the regular revenue stream coming in they equipment and maintenance will suffer.

Huh? I'm grandfathered in. Everyone else pays the regular monthly rate (which is ridiculously high).
