yeah thats what made me laugh. the irony of them being a big reason cops are justified in being more cautious or profiling black people in/around the cities, and they're part of the 'movement' blaming cops for unfair treatment.

Cops
Do you think that bloods and crips murder more or less than 100 times the amount of blacks that cops do?
I'd guess more.

Black neighborhoods are either blood or crip, there's no inner mixture of the two that causes problems within a neighborhood. Movies and the music industry exaggerate gang violence.
Cops, however, are present in EVERY ghetto black neighborhood. They present the fear of getting locked up, interrogated, and threatened to the point that the relationship between blacks and cops are not good. Your first instinct seeing a cop in your neighborhood is to just stop whatever you're doing and just look right at the passing cop car.
there is so much wrong and agenda driven to downplay in this reply...not to say hollywood doesn't exaggerate everything but gang violence results in a hell of a lot of deaths, and many innocent ones also. not to mention gangs robbing and stealing from innocents in general.
why do you think cops are in the ghetto at all? :facepalm

What is that supposed to mean? Statistics don't apply to real life.
Black people don't shy away from other blacks just because the murder rate inside the race is high. We are hesitant toward cops by design. They want us to fear them, they want to instill that presence toward us. Cops don't want to be a benefactor toward black neighborhoods like the way they are toward white neighborhoods.
I've lived in both, in fact there's a cop that lives right across the street for me. He's friendly and gives the presense of security in my neighborhood. In contrast with African-American communities, they want to be feared. They want to restore or maintain order (even though present dangers aren't always there) by slowly patrolling in their cars while giving a look to people that suggests "Gimme a reason to arrest you".
I just remembered back to the only time I was put in the back of a cop's car. I was hanging with friends over by Charles Yates Gold Course, some of them decided to jump the fence between our apartment complex and the course to steal a soda from a Coca-Cola cart that was left unattended (I guess there was a tournament that was coming up soon). So after they got done drinking the soda they stole they decided to go back for another one, I went over the fence but when I went to turn around I saw some of my friends running from a cop that was chasing them. I was gonna run through the golf course but I saw a cop already up there, so I decided to go back over the fence, but another cop came over and gave this evil smile of satisfaction that he caught us. They decided to throw us in the back of the car instead of warning us and sending us home. All that over some canned soda.
So you are complaining about the cops busting you for trespassing and theft? If you didn't have to "fear" the cops, I wonder what else you would do. It's this exact reason honest black people should thank the cops because if they didn't maintain a strong presence, half the urban black areas would look like Mogadishu by now, and they'd have to wall up all the white and Asian areas.

lol seriously bro? :lol
just because someone leaves something of theirs unattended doesn't mean you have any right to take it. i'd think you probably learned a good lesson from that, where as if he just gave you a warning you all would have done it again in the same situation.

You give children a warning, you don't book them in the back of your vehicle.
That shit is traumatizing (and not in a way that teaches a lesson).
So your idea of "oppression" is cops disrupting criminal behaviour?
You give children a warning, you don't book them in the back of your vehicle.

another idiot blaming the cops and not owning up to his own stupid act....

Owning up to what? I hung with people my age group, you don't know right from wrong at the age I got arrested. Add to the fact I didn't steal anything, you get pissy about that.
What type of message are you trying to convey to children by putting the innocent in the back of a cop car? Don't hang with the wrong people? You always hang out with bad influences, but you learn from their mistakes, you can't avoid those type of people in the real world.
That breaking the law has consequences? :confusedshrug:
