Wtf.
You never knew that?
Reason why Americans call Washington, 'Washington State' to differentiate from Washington or just call it DC.

FYI, I aint American so how am I supposed to know this shit. I thought it was a New York, New York type deal.
I also always wondered why that Washington Redskins team always played in Maryland. Turns out Washington DC is next to Virginia and Maryland. And nowhere actually near Washington. Plus DC is not a state? Just like Hawaii? So why is there 50 states when there are actually like 52 states? Actually is Alaska counted as one of the 50? This shit so random.
ffs Murica get your shit together :facepalm

DC is not a state, no. It is a city between Maryland and Virginia. Washington State is its own thing. Alaska is one of the 50 states.
I think we need to add 3 more states. Then we can really be an indivisible nation

Conferences and divisions and shit are always ****ed up anyway. For example isn't Texas central bottom, but a bit more to the left? Why is Dallas in the East then?

My younger sister is the one who told me. I googled it immediately and felt kinda dumb lol.
At least I know now.
I will bet you though that a lot of people in England think the same as I thought.

Originally, I think the East division needed one more team so Dallas joined DC, NY, Philly, and St. Louis. Eventually, they needed to cut it to 4 teams per division but even though St. Louis is further East, the Cowboys had legit rivalries with every team in the division and no one wanted to split that up so they kicked St. Louis out since no one cared about em
At least that's why I think it was. I just remember readin about this. Could have been a bit different but that's the basic story

NFL is not a good example. They had to realign the conferences recently because in the past it was all screwed up.

They use the union jack because it represents Great Britain, which includes Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. At the Olympics they use that flag. Though in Football, Rugby, etc., they compete as individual countries, so the English team uses the English flag, the Scottish team uses the Scottish flag, etc.

Because St George's cross is the flag of England and the union flag is the flag of the United Kingdom.

Britain is made up of England, Scotland and Wales. All Englishmen are British but not all Brits are English. As for calling ourselves British instead of English, its a personal thing. I personally don't call myself English because I'm not white, as racist as that may sound.

Well, if English people are white, and you're not white, it would stand to reason that you're not English.
I could not imagine that anybody would be silly enough to accuse you of racism for your point of view on that. Seems like solid logic.

Well, that's the leftist swamp that is UK political correctness.
I mean, just imagine. There is a political party that wants to treat all potential immigrants equally regardless of what country they are from, whereas all the other parties want immigration that favours Europeans. The party that wants to treat all potential immigrants equally is regarded as "the racist party". :wtf:
You can't make this stuff up.

You mean UKIP? Thats not the reason they're called racist. Some of their representatives have been caught saying racist stuff e.g. Rozanne Duncan who doesn't like "negro faces" (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/ukip/11333422/UKIP-councillor-had-a-problem-with-negroes-faces.html), though she was expelled.

Haha, yeah, this shit is too much, and they won't even let the man answer questions about anything else, because they barely ever ask them.
What's funny is that in the debates you get the others replying with things like 'we don't want to close ourselves off like UKIP, we want to be open to different cultures and different groups blablabla..' even though the EU is one of the most exclusivist institutions in the world, and its high tariffs hurt many much poorer countries around the world.
In the BBC Newsnight interview all the interviewer could talk about was his 'tone' being a bit nasty. I was sure the political establishment would come down hard on UKIP, but i never expected it to be such a batty froth-fest - it's literally Orwellian (and people laugh at Putin's propaganda, when actually, our own propaganda-systems are much more subtle and effective in controlling how individuals think about things, because its victims aren't even aware that what they are reading is propaganda; many still think of the BBC as an 'objective' news source and broadcaster :oldlol:).

A councillor? That's not a 'representative' any more than the many Labour and Conservative councillors who are now in prison are representative of their parties.
