OK, so if this Chris Paul injury is serious enough that he isn't 80% in Game 1 vs. Houston then he will never get healthy during the series the way the Rockets like to run basket to basket. The Clippers NEED Chris Paul to guard James Harden in key moments because nobody else on that team has a shot of containing him. Tonight, Chris Paul struggled running off screens to keep up with Tony Parker so its gonna be interesting who he defends during the series.

Blake Griffin is gonna average very good numbers against us because he's an Elite PF with an amazing skillset, but can he control the point differential vs. Terrence Jones and Josh Smith the way they spread the floor, drive, and pass.

Deandre Jordan vs. Dwight Howard is not a wash like how people are gonna claim it will be. Dwight is so much more of an intelligent rim protector, rebounder, and pick and roller than DJ is, then you incorporate the shots Dwight can create in the post for himself and (others when doubled). Dwight is winning this matchup, hands down.

The other starters for both teams (Jason Terry, Trevor Ariza and J.J. Reddick, Matt Barnes) are a true wash, both are gonna need to be focused on shooting and making threes all series. Hopefully with us having homecourt this series we will be able to get going from downtown quicker than the Clippers.

Then comes the bench, I don't know if the Clippers have the bodies to keep up with Houston's pace and athleticism, it's hard to imagine if the Clippers' bench have another amazing performance after being either pedestrian or mediocre in the previous six games.

I'm taking the Rockets confidently over the Clippers in SIX games.

Game 1 (@HOU): Rockets
Game 2 (@HOU): Rockets
Game 3 (@LAC): Clippers
Game 4 (@LAC): Rockets
Game 5 (@HOU): Clippers
Game 6 (@LAC): Rockets

Indeed. A lot of people have this belief that Howard has a low BBIQ because he's not a skilled scorer. That couldn't be further from the truth though. He's an incredibly intelligent defensive player with great fundamentals. DJ on the other hand never boxes out, but just tries to out jump everyone. He's a poor one on one defensive player in my opinion too and prone to stupid mistakes.

Good overall analysis too my man. I have to agree with most of you what you said. This hamstring injury isn't just going to go away and Paul hobbled an entire series is probably not going to be get it done. He looked bad defensively today because of the hammy and that is REALLY BAD for the Clips because he's by far their best perimeter defensive player and one of the best in the league. They need him to be the usual tenacious CP3 on defense...and they just aren't going to get that from him with his mobility limited. He might even be a negative as far as defense which is a huge turn around. He also can't dance with his his ball handling with this injury. Notice he didn't try anything fancy with the ball after he came back.

What else is new? Leonard, Klay Thompson, tony Allen etc... They Always put their best perimeter player on Chris

Is CP playing? Hamstring uselessly take 2 or 3 weeks to recover.

I trust Terry in chasing J.J. around the floor on defense sense he doesn't need to expend energy on offense, if JT starts to get expended he can stay on Matt Barnes or Austin Rivers.

Assuming Chris Paul misses time or is not 100%, the Rockets will be guaranteed a win during Game 1.

More importantly, Paul should check on Harden if he gets healthy,

The only question is CPs health. It doesnt matter who Houston puts on him, CP just torched by far the best perimeter defensive tandem in the league of Kawhi/Green
