He was horrible the last 3 games.
He is supposed to be their best player and didn't show up in the 3 most important games of their season.

He certainly didn't look like a DPOY player in this series.
Duncan and Green played much better defense.
Even his FMVP last season was overrated. Their real FMVP was Pop.
Replace Leonard with Matt barnes, Spurs still win the series in 5-6 games.

Defense got exposed to be honest. All it takes is a screen to take him out the game which is why I keep telling people guard/perimeter defense isnt as important as big men.

However, Popovich should be ashamed of himself for not putting him in position to succeed. He never posted up after game 3 and they kept giving him the ball at the top of the key. His pull up jumper is nice. Not that nice.

It was obvious that he should have defended Griffin or hell put him on Deandere full time even if he got torched as he just cant get past screens well enough.

Danny Green's man defense >>>> Kawhi. (They even put Green on Blake Griffin)

They barely run plays for the guy. Clipps had no one to stop him inside but he was relegated to a 3pt shooter a lot of the time
