Because they played awful basketball for over 2 months and weren't prepared for the playoffs. Poor coaching too. It was pretty evident the players and coach weren't on the same page by then.

Atlanta is the opposite or at least should be. They have the better coach, the better starting unit, system, and play better defense. I mean, look at Indiana last year. They were even more disorganized and lost the 1st game, but still won the series through their defense and PG stepping up.
