Probably scared.
When you dump your titles you are basically letting someone else chase it rather than get chased.

not "scarred" but yeah he would have to take on mandatory challengers and he has no time to fight boxers with no name

He said to give other younger fighters a chance. Which means Thurman-Porter for the WBA. Amir Khan vs. TBA for WBC and Tim Bradley vs. Brandon Rios for WBO.
At 154 Lara vs. Clottey WBA and Jermell Charlo vs Vanes II for WBC.
Floyd last fight will be vs. either Thurman, Khan or Brook on CBS. Book it.

No one is turning down a Floyd fight because he doesn't have a belt.

I think it has somewhat to do with sanctioning fee's. Everytime he fights, he has to pay fee's on all of the belts he owns.
In addiiton, IF he has those belts, he is obligated to fight a specific ranked fighter by the boxing committee. So they might make him fight Amir Kahn, and we all know that fighting Amir kahn would NOT interest floyd because there isn't a lot of Money in fighting him.
He would look to fight a Canelo, or something like that. A guy that has a huge following.
And, he is close to retiring and I heard something about, someone on Floyd's team wanting to create their own belts? IDK; Time will tell.

Huh?:biggums:
Fighting Khan would be a huge payday, and would garner the interest of an entire country. It would be huge for the UK, and ticket sales would be massive seeing as it would more than likely be held in Wembley.
Khan is the only guy that can beat him too IMO.
Canelo? Been there and done that. Dominated him. No point in doing it again.

:facepalm
Of course nobody is turning down a Floyd fight.
It's Floyd turning down all these guys to fight. Can you imagine if someone dumps him on his ass? He is no longer fighting handpicked opponents.

Have I been transported back to the 1960's where boxing is still a relevant sport?
The irrelevant sport of boxing...

MJ Mean John is correct. No reason to pay sanctioning fees anymore.
