View Full Version : The Clippers tonight looked like they weren't going to be intimidated

They had a calm, cool mindset that said, 'We just stared down the champs and lived to tell the tale. We beat them IN THEIR BUILDING where damn near nobody wins in money games, and we're supposed to be scared of YOU guys?'
The Clippers never looked like a team that was going to flinch tonight. I mean, after they slayed the NBA's biggest postseason monster, suddenly it makes them view other teams differently.

Went from playing the defending champs w. an established culture and GOAT coach to a team thats locker room presence has Hardon, Fright, Smiff and Torrie

Exactly. They probably feel like they are playing scrubs after beating the Spurs.

Round 1 was a rite of passage of sort for them. Most champions are pushed at some point to the limit or close too it and they are usually better off for it. No doubt their confidence is sky high right now.

This isn't the best analogy, but it reminds me a bit of when the Mavericks beat the Lakers in 2011.
Dallas had been the perennial playoff chokers, L.A. was the team that always came through in money games.
When you beat a been there done that team, it does wonders for your confidence.

Rocket's aren't an intimidating team. After the Spurs series they must feel like a batter who just took off the doughnut.
