Did anyone talk about him last night? He's really shown up for the playoffs, hasn't been the scrub everyone thought he was.

He's had two good games in the playoffs so far..good for him. Not someone you can count on though. His job is to pass the ball and defend. Once in awhile he will hit shots. I don't think I've ever seen an NBA player miss so many lay ups like Austin.

He's not great but his postseason has exceeded expectations. Personally i thought Doc should have lost his GM powers for nepotism so he's been a good surprise.

sorry, PER is overrated...not saying Austin is a great player but anyone using PER as an argument can barely understand PER in the first place.

Whoever coached this badass in NewOrleans really ****ed with his game. He would so much more effective if he just took it straight into the basket instead of doing floaters ALL THE TIME and if he shot without being ao hesitant when hes wide open. Horribly coached

He's below-average and other stats back it up. Just because he shows up a game or two doesn't mean that he isn't a bad player by NBA standards in general. He lacks consistency. He can somewhat shoot wide open 3s, he's a horrible finisher around the rim, he isn't a good ball-handler or a respectable defender.
He's lucky that his dad is an NBA coach, because honestly he doesn't have that much talent. He's a smart kid and I see him becoming a coach just like his dad in 20 years or so but he simply isn't that talented.
It's his 3rd NBA season, and I saw him as a rookie and when I watch him play now, there isn't that much of a difference. He had a few decent games here and there as a rook between a whole bunch of bad/average ones, nothing's changed in terms of his production on the court, I do notice the improvement on D, but he needs to keep working on that J and his daddy needs to tell him to cut out all that bs in the paint, he's decent at finishing around the rim but those floaters man...

He has a shitty off-hand when he goes to finish
He always has, that's what holds him back. You can't have fundamental flaws at his size.

He is shooting to be the next Jamal Crawford. Luckily, he can learn those ropes directly.

Austin was still cringe worthy a lot of times last night offensively. But he did nailed the wide open looks he got because Griffin was being doubled.
Long story short: Still a scrub who had a good night.
