Tom Haberstroh has figured out why LeBron James is struggling by his standards. So far this postseason, he is averaging 11 isolation plays per game, which is the equal to his last two playoffs combined.

BetaBran needs heavy screens and team help he cant iso and do it himself like KD/Kobe/MJ/CP/Wade

going iso 11 times a game is going to hurt your efficiency, more breaking news later tonight.

If he played in the West, he would've probably averaged 2/5= 40 % FG

Congrats you passed 5th grade math! Quite an accomplishment indeed for kobe stans. Next question, what is 6/24 as a percent?

Blatt's offense was looking better toward the end of the regular season but it seems that it's devolved entirely into ISO's now in the playoffs.

They dont really have many options now though.

This was obvious if you followed him closely enough as a Heat and now. Everybody talks about him "declining", but after that 8 game hiatus he took, he was just fine athletically, but his efficiency remained around 50%. The real difference is Cleveland, unlike 12-14 Heat, have no real offensive system in place. LeBron has to work a lot harder to create shots for himself now.

Simple. Bad defense, no easy baskets.

True, but just because you only have two real scorers doesn't mean you can't have some semblance of an offensive system. I mean, shit, let LeBron set picks and run the pick and roll with him and Irving. Just about anything is better than just running ISO sets all game.

So the offense is drastically different now, which has led to his decreased efficiency...

But no matter where he plays, it's "LeBron-ball"?

Wait, are you saying that having a team that hasn't worked out its chemistry and runs a disorganized offense would hurt a players efficiency?

you'd think it was this easy...when he was on Miami, we all wondered why Spo never set PnR's between him and Bosh more as that is an immediate matchup issue once the switch happens.

many times, I think a coach rather it go down his way and that be all than to use more common sense tactics when there are adequate players to fill the spot.

Kyrie and Bron would be murder with PnR for defenses.

He isn't as good as he used to be. That is the simple answer.

So what's the reason for Wade & Bosh's major efficiency decrease then? Can't use Spo's system or lack of depth, LeBron left one of the most stacked teams in history, remember?

Wade's efficiency was ~52% before Bosh went down, so part of the reason is being forced to carry too heavy a load. And Bosh's efficiency shot way down in the period leading up to his being diagnosed with blood-clots in lungs (something that makes it difficult to play NBA bball).

Not to mention the team has had 30+ different starting lineups and hasn't forged itself a new identity on the offensive end (Spo slow to adjust to new team).

Plenty of reasons.

Lebron can't isolate because it takes him too long - the NBA's player-tracking data (http://stats.nba.com/league/player/shots/#!/?sectionName=Touch%20Time%20Range&section=TouchTimeRange&range=Touch%206%2B%20Seconds&sort=FGA_FREQUENCY&dir=1&Season=2014-15&SeasonType=Regular%20Season) shows that 38% of Lebron's points are scored by taking longer than 6 seconds (8th in entire league)..

Also, this stat is a point guard stat - Lebron and Harden were the only non-PG's in the top 50.. But Lebron has always played point guard for his team, as he did alongside Mo Williams and Chalmers.

The best isolators aren't players that use existing, live-dribbles and a ton of screen rolls to make their moves (like ball-dominant point guards).. The best isolators like MJ, Bird and Worthy use off-ball and post/triple threat moves that enable them to isolate QUICKLY (http://gifsforum.com/images_new/gif/other/grand/cebaec04eb04d06fba2884406be8c52f.gif), thus allowing them to isolate more often and more successfully than players that use a live-dribble to make their move (ball-dominators/point guards)..

That's why Bird, MJ, Dantley, King, English, Dr. J, Worthy, Vandeweghe (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=360034), and Dominique are considered the best isolation players in history, while Lebron doesn't even isolate as well as Magic.. But at least Magic got twice the assists to justify his non-GOAT scoring ability.. Whereas Lebron's just overrated.. :facepalm

Only reason LeBald shot so high is all the lobs Wade threw for him, he went out of his way to up his % even when he could've scored the 2 points by himself. It's why nobody was impressed but LeBald fans. Kyrie doesn't care about LeBalds efficiency.

Welcome to LeBron's world his first 7 seasons in the league and his last 3 with Miami.

Poor Wade didn't have James there anymore so he could take games off cause he didn't feel like playing.

I can answer that. 6/24 = 5th championship!
