lebron has not been the best since whatever official year it was that durant won mvp. durant looked on his own level that year imo, posting better stats vs tougher opponents with a weaker supporting cast, getting more W's

and this year numerous other guys have at worst a case of being level with lebron. Davis, Harden, Curry, Paul, Westbrook, etc

Wilt from 59-60 thru 68-69 for sure.

He was voted MVP in '60, '66, '67, and '68 (ran away with them.)
He was voted 1st Team All-NBA (over Russell) in '60, '61, '62, '64, '66, '67, and '68 (Russell was voted ahead of him in '61 and '63.)

Moses from '78-79 thru '82-'83.

No one else was even close.

1988, 1989, and 1996 is Michael Jordan. You can make an argument for 1987 too, considering it was the best scoring season since Wilt.

Changed from davidson to MJ for 96 given that MJ missed the previous 2 years so MVP votes for 3 years messed up that year.

This is completely irrelevant to who the best player each year was. This is a year by year comparison of who had been collectively the most successful MVP candidate during the last 3 seasons up to each season...Hence, atrocities, like 2000.
