View Full Version : Blake "Lebron" Griffin

Dude is looking like West Coast Bron in these playoffs!

Especially these last three games!

Two massive triple doubles and now 26/5/3 on 11/14 and ZERO turnovers in the first half:bowdown:

Been making a ton of crazy good passes, shots and of course dunks!

Never thought Blake would become this good of an all-around player, and no better time than now with CP3 out.

There has been a ton of improvement from the new generation players these last 2-3 years with Curry, Griffin, Harden, Davis, Irving, Kawhi. The league is in a really interesting phase with the oldest stars truly leaving the game soon (Duncan, Pierce, Kobe, Garnett) and Lebron's generation starting the backside of their careers.

lol don't hate on blake like that, his game has been much more fun to watch than 2012 lebron. not just running into guys for FT's, is just letting the game come to him, post ups, hook shots, open jumpers

His midrange jumpshot, postgame, passing, ball handling are already better than LeBalds ever was. I honestly cant think of a single thing Lebalds better than him at aside from 3pt shooting..When its all said and done I think Griffin will be higher than him on most all time lists.

RR3 I'd love to hear your argument for how the guy leading the team in points, rebound and assist isn't the best player on the team

Paul doesn't even have the assist advantage, Griffin has clearly been the best player on the Clips this playoffs

he's probably been the best player in the entire playoffs

so no excuses for the clippers. they have the best player in the world. along with chris paul and deandre. no excuses. damn griffin already better than bron, kobe, durant etc.

Chris Paul is a better player. A few good games from Flake doesn't change that.

Blake had struggled in crunch time in the first round. In game 7 he almost pissed away the game while CP3 made play after play.

a few good games?

how about the entire 2014 season when he carried the Clippers with no Paul

how about this year when he averaged 22/8/5

how about these playoffs which he's been absolutely dominating?

that's your comeback? pathetic

how can you not see what everybody else clearly does, the entire TNT panel agreed that Blake has been the best player these playoffs.

You're clearly living in the past, if you can't appreciate what BG is doing at this moment without Paul then that's your loss.

He's clearly the best player on the team but there's no need to debate with somebody like you

i present stats and facts you counter argue with "durr ur butthurt durrr"

what are you talking about?

incase you missed it, Blake just led the Clippers to a split on the Rockets homecourt without Chris Paul while averaging 30/14/8..

Blake is leading the team in points, rebounds and assist.. how is he not the best player on the team.. he's dishing out more assist than Paul is AND scoring more...?

you still haven't made a single argument for how Paul has been better than Griffin during these playoffs

I dare you bran fans to engage in discussion with me without deflecting to Kobe like the chumps you are..

you just keep deflecting, throwing out one sentence responses.. you have nothing to offer..

These playoffs

Blake: 25/13/8/1/1

Paul: 23/5/8/2/0

Blake single handily just carried the Clips without Paul to 2 close games in Houston against the Rockets, and stole a game on the road with Cp3 being replaced by Austin Rivers and Lester Hudson..LOL

Blake has been the best player in the playoffs, but just keep doing what you've been doing..

See, but you weren't saying "Blake has been the best Clipper in the playoffs so far", you were saying "Blake IS the best clipper period", which is what I took issue to. CP3 has missed the last two games, and Blake has had increased responsibility, remember that for the stats.

As it is

CP3: 7 games, 39.3 MPG, 22.7 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 7.9 APG, 2.0 SPG, 0.4 BPG, 2.3 TO on .513/.429/.966 shooting

Blake: 9 games, 41.0 MPG, 25.4 PPG, 13.4 RPG, 7.7 APG, 1.3 SPG, 1.2 BPG, 3.0 TO on .480/.000 (0-5)/.760 shooting

Pretty close stat wise, but IMO CP3 has clearly had more of an impact. And the regular season pretty clearly favors CP3

CP3: 82 games, 34.8 MPG, 19.1 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 10.2 APG, 1.9 SPG, 0.2 BPG, 2.3 TO on .485/.398/.900 shooting

Blake: 67 games, 35.2 MPG, 21.9 PPG, 7.6 RPG, 5.3 APG, 0.9 SPG, 0.5 BPG, 2.3 TO on .502/.400 (10-25)/.728 shooting

I'm not going to highlight Blake's barely higher 3PT% in the regular season since the volume was nowhere close (CP3 too 4.3 3's a game, Blake took 25 3s all year)

TheMarkMadsen

You finally posted something worth responding to :applause:

Blake has taken a step up in his game during these playoffs, he's playing on an entirely different level

He's their go to guy, he's their leading assist man, he runs the offense, he sets up the offense, he does everything and even Pop couldn't figure out how to stop him.

Blake & Cp3 are on a different level, what they do in the regular season is mostly irrlevant at this point because we've seen it all from them before. The playoffs is where these type of players need to make the biggest leap in their game

And so far Blake has done that to the point where he is having the post season out of anybody in the league..

He's the most important player on this team, he is who they rely on for almost everything. Do you really think the Clippers would be 1-1 if they didnt have Blake but had Paul..?

The clippers best houston at home without Paul.. That's huge in telling who is more important..

And if Crawford didnt go 6-22 they'd be up 2-0

Griffin has clearly been better these playoffs, and has a massive argument for being the best player on this team

:biggums: Yes. Have the Rockets looked good to you?

6-22 happens a lot with Crawford, bro.

He's diversified his game for sure. That's admirable. Lots of players are content with relying on their skills and athleticism to get by. He's become a legit threat in other areas.

@cp3 clips are done if he doesn't do what he did in game 7. That was an amazing arguably all time performance. Only because it was the first round will it be devalued. Still in an elimination game. Crazy shit. Crazy threes and game winner, hurt. Don't think blake can do that on that stage... yet. Until then gimme cp3.
