The team would play 35 games in Las Vegas, and that would be followed by a 15-game tour of Europe. McDonald's All-American players would earn $700,000 for their services.

I'm for giving the kids an alternate option. Although I do have some questions about a 700k salary and shipping these kids to Vegas for a year.

McDonald's all-american players? So high schoolers? Does this not mess up college eligibility?

Nope. The rules say you have to be one year out of high school before qualifying for the draft.

This means you can do anything in that year you want. Player choose to go in to the NCAA in order to increase their draft stock.
