No one right now is putting Lebron's career over Kobe's, you're delusional if you actually think that 2 rings and losing 3 out of 5 Finals is considered more impressive. And Durant? He's already peaked in terms of statistical production and while both have had superior seasons statistically, neither of them will have the longetivity nor the rings to match at the end of the day.

Kobe at same age as Bran won 65 games in the regular season and averaged 30/5/6/2 on 46/35/88 shooting in the Playoffs with a much higher PER, WS/48 and +/- while Lebron has struggled against inferior competition and has barely outperformed his injured 2nd option. Shooting 43% and taking 23.7 shots to average 26.7 points a game with a 49,9%TS :rolleyes:

He rarely guards the other's team best offensive player, he's always guarding the likes of Kirk Hinrich, Noah and Mike Dunleavy instead of Rose or Butler (except for a few moments here and there in which he doesn't do a good job)

He guarded butler for almost all of first 3 quarters. Every no. 1 option on offense takes a breather in the NBA since the 80s. Butler has scored most of his points this series when lebron switched to someone else.

Yeah, the narrative last year became Durant was awful in the playoffs. For whatever reason people wanted to ignore the fact that he busted his ass the second half of the season shouldering a ridiculous load while OKC stayed atop the Western Conference standings after Westbrook got hurt. I thought it was pretty obvious Durant was just got worn down in the playoffs. It didn't help that he had to start off the playoffs against the Grind House Grizzlies. Yes, Westbrook was better than Durant in the playoffs, but he was also fresher by then.

And like you said, Durant showed up big time in the most crucial games in the 1st and 2nd round against superior competition to what LeBron's faced this year in the playoffs.
