Never seen a 60 win team struggle this bad in the 1st and 2nd round

At what point do we begin to establish the narrative that the Wizards are wayyyyyyy better than we thought?

When is the last time you saw a 5th seed sweep the 4th seed and than look better than the 1st seed even when they lose their best player?

They got taken to 7 in the first and second round.

Eye test: Wizards are the best team in the East, that's what anyone who didn't know regular season records would say just by watching the playoffs so far. Again, I'll wait for that to continue to prove itself on its own.

the hawks series was a fluke and then lebron was on a mission that 2nd round. don't let an unimpressive first couple of rounds make you think the 08 Celtics were not one of the best teams of the century

All I was saying is that they struggled in the first 2 rounds. So they apply to the original post.

There's been 44 60+ wins & .750+ teams in NBA history (61.5 wins in an 82 game season) and I counted only 21 of them winning the championship. How does one that actually won the championship get named before the other 22? Or 21, I guess, with GS still playing. Short of going fo' fo' fo' (fo'), I think consistently going 7 and never losing as pretty close to the next impressive possible run. imo obviously.

....

See one post above.

Im not saying the 08 Celtics were bad or anything, just that they struggled early.

Didn't Bran "flakes" James win 60 a few times with the Cavs and not even make it out of the pathetic East?
