Loving the post spins. Loving the footwork. Memphis is in control of this series against the Warriors right now.

Having post-skills is not dead yet.

Best center in the game

Gasol gets much closer to the basket with his positioning than Anthony Davis.

No one would have predicted its development, even the stans like me who followed him before his arrival in the NBA. Lakers won this trade, Lakers got 2 rings and 3 finals bro. Cmon

People were acting like it was highway robbery at the time. Yes, the Lakers won the trade, but Marc Gasol is really, really good now. Plus, who knows what would have happened if the Lakers had kept Marc. :confusedshrug:

The Harden trade is a prime example of a lopsided deal, but not the Pau trade.

It was Pau for Z-Bo and Marc Gasol because the cap space of the expiring contract of Kwame led them to signing Z-Bo.

It seemed like a lopsided trade because people were evaluating talent vs talent like you would in a computer game, and not the business side of things. Kwame was the biggest 'expiring contract' they could get, they did explore other options.

Then Marc Gasol blossomed, the chemistry of Z-Bo, Marc and Conley developed, the Grizzlies won their first playoff game, then their first playoff series and the rest is history. Because with Pau they were 0-12 in the playoffs and things needed to change.

Both teams benefited it just didn't seem that way at the time.

it was a good trade in retrospect but it was still terrible at the time, grizziles just lucked out tbh.
