I've always thought Artest was overrated, (he had no business winning DPOY when Jermaine O'neal was the best and most impactful defensive player on the Pacers and Ben Wallace was at his peak) so I'm going to have to go with Tony Allen.

id say tony, prime artest was freaky as well but tony has slightly better help d imo. it also helps playing with marc behind him, but tony has consistently shown in the past few that he can lock down mvps, artest was good but cant say the same shit for him, i mean comon he turned mr clutch into mr unreliable for a few games (then got owned lol

Artest was playing behind Jermaine O'Neal and Yao Ming, both who are far better defensively close to the basket than Marc is.

Give me Allen. Strong, athletic, nimble and agile. Perfect defender.
