View Full Version : What are the Rockets lacking?

They have a strong, athletic, and defensive (when he wants to), a very athletic 4, a scorer, good defenders that can shoot (Ariza and Brewer)... what more do they need?

How many guys have been in & out Houston over the years? No vision!!

well, they do have James Harden as their leader, but I need a bit more from my leader, some toughness, defense, leadership, efficient scoring, all-around game, coolness under pressure, ability to step my game up, have opponents change their gameplan because of my play, not be dependant on whistles.

Rockets have a lot of heart in their role players...guys like Ariza, Terry and Brewer all have a lot of heart.

They lack in their leaders...Harden, Dwight have none.

And of course, McHale is just a figurehead. Nothing more.

They need a good/great #2 behind Harden or even a 1B who plays with heart and can take over when Harden takes a dump.

Thats the problem of having score first pgs(harden/curry). They cant find opportunities to score because theyre busy trying to distribute. Its really stupid. You dont let your receivers be your QB or vice versa. Thats just basics 101. Yet statnerds(bran stans) couldnt get. Theres a reason why bran fails.

How can a team with Dwight Howard be so piss poor defensively? He literally has no business coaching a professional basketball team.

They are missing two of their 7 best players and the time to grow as a team together.

The Rockets are legit.

People are just ignoring that they are missing two key players and playing arguably the best team in the league.

The Clippers have proven to be amazing. They have 3 all nba players absolutely dominating right now. They have a proven championship coach.

They are as good or better than anyone currently...no shame in losing to this team.

And I hate the Rockets/Harden...but they'd be destroying all the East teams and all but like the 3 to 4 best teams in the West.

Exactly. It's easy to dismiss the Rockets and not care that they are as ailing as any other team out there when you hate them. No...they are not a likable team, but to act like this is happening while they are at their best is ludicrous.

ihatetimthomas
05-11-2015, 12:21 AM
They lack scorers. There is no one who can create a shot for themselves or others other than Harden. It's too tough to manufacture shots when you only have one guy who can do that. Also if it's not obvious enough, their team defense is horrible this series. Rotations are slow and they can't stop penetration.

It's honestly a shocker that the Clippers are destroying the Rockets like this. I thought coming in the series that the Clippers or the Spurs were going to beat the Rockets, but I didn't think they were going to destroy them.

Even if the Rockets were completely healthy, I don't really see them beating the Clippers. The Clips near the end of the RS stepped up their defense, and was already the best offensive team in the league.

Regardless, it's still a shocker that they are destroying them right now. The Clippers are peaking at the right moment.

Harden's go-to move is getting fouled and freethrows. They need a legit #1 option type with leadership qualities.

Harden would be a decent #2 on a title winning team IMO.

Beverely is a third string point guard on any team that isn't an absolute joke.

Motiejunas plays no defense, is softer than butter, and is a 7 footer on paper only. He just stands at the 3 point line. All this "best post player in the NBA" bull shit is a complete joke. He's not as soft as Mirotic or anything, but he still uber soft.
