One the one side it's refreshing to hear professors discuss race and ethnicity freely. It's a taboo subject, and it really shouldn't be. So no, she shouldn't be fired because she said something "racist".

That said, having a professor that dumb on staff reflects poorly on the entire university. Fire her or not, the damage is already done. This borderline retarded person passed the Boston University professor selection criteria, she was considered capable. Yikes.

I always wonder when stuff like this goes down...who are the people that actually get angry? I understand that people always get fired for stuff like this but I don't think I've ever met someone who has actually been pissed off about something like this. Who the **** sits around on the internet all day to wait for the chance to send an angry email to someone's boss?

I'm betting that the blow back she is getting is from parents of students tho. But seriously, Boston University could probably just stay quiet and not fire her and within 3 months literally nobody would remember except some parents who complain about it when their kids come home for Thanksgiving. How did this retard become a professor? Slavery is a well documented thing that was found all over the world throughout history. It began in Africa and was also found in cultures in North and South America, Asia as well as the Middle East, where it is still practiced to this day.

Europeans actually OUTLAWED slavery-during the beginning phase of the Christianization of it, which is more can be said of other cultures who have been carrying on with slavery for far longer than Europeans did.

'White masculinity' is not an actual thing and yet it is 'THE PROBLEM' - how can an abstracted idea she just invented be the biggest problem at American colleges? I would argue the biggest problem there is the bog-standard tripe pumped out by lecturers who are so often human personifications of the mediocre, and even worse. Someone this idiotic making their living in the realm of ideas is laughable (and she has a lot of competition here).
