So what you are really saying is you've never actually watched him play?

He was further along than I expected this year, his handles and passing is what makes me think he will find a role in the NBA and what I see as separating him from other "tweeners". Has a great attitude as well and is still so young.

You're talking out your ass. He's faster than most SF's and stronger than a lot of PFs at barely 19 years old. He reminds me of Tim Thomas

He has lots more opportunities to prove he's not a bust. Shot a good % across the board for a 19 year old rook, good motor, plays D, athletic, rebounds. He'll be fine.

Seeing the way Blake has been playing, and the fact that the only knock on him is defense - that's not bad at all

That's true.

Only that he was picked at 4...

You expect a little more than a productive role player at that pick.

He's not strong enough to be Blake. Look at Griffin's legs then look at Gordon.

He's not a good enough scorer to be Matrix.

Gordon right now is a very young Josh Smith.

Gordon needs those tree trunks of legs that LeBron and Blake have that allow them to guard PFs in the post as well as battle for rebounds.

Without that I can't see him as an effective PF. And of course he's not a good enough shooter or passer to play significant minutes at SF. It'll be a couple of years until he gets his body and skillset to a point that he can get starter minutes.

Because every player that works on a jumpshot turns into a reliable in-game shooter...

Don't ever talk to me again about basketball, children like you don't understand the game like how me and other veteran analysts.

Who would u have picked over him? Assuming Payton still gets picked where he did. Randle? Not a good fit beside Vuc, and we haven't seen enough of him anyway. Vonleh is the only other logical pick, and again, has proved much less than Gordon as well.

He's might not live up to being the 4th pick, but right now it definitely doesn't seem he'll be a bust. The draft was top-3 heavy anyway with a big drop-off after Wiggins/Jabari/Embiid.

Marcus Smart was my safe pick for the 1st PG off the board.

Dante Exum if you drafted on potential.

If Orlando did draft a PG then they would likely have kept Dario Saric.

his passing is pretty good for a tweener.

I didnt watch him much this year but based on watching him in college, I think if he develops a solid spot up 3, he could be a great rooe player, defending multiple positions, handling the ball.

He could be a really versatile player I a couple years

there's absolutely no reason to believe AG can't become a, hell, draymond green type. except he's 10 times quicker and more athletic and bigger.
