As you can see, it's adjusted to the their career stats as a STARTER. So, don't whine about Kobe's 1st and 2nd year pulling his stats down.

Kobe fanboys... don't flame me just yet... here are my views for the record:

Better closer = Kobe

Better scorer = Kobe

Better shooter = Kobe

Better defender = I might be biased.. Kobe, for me, is one of the most overrated defenders...ever. LeBron's kinda overrated too.

Better passer = LeBron

Better all-around player = LeBron

Better teammate = TIE. I want a mix of the two. I like Kobe's drive to win and the way he motivates his teammates... he just goes overboard a lot of times. I just hate I'm-better-than-you-don't-talk-to-me Kobe. Don't bring up the Alpha talk... you know that sh!t doesn't make sense. As for LeBron, I think he's a great teammate.. but there has to be more. There's a sense that something's missing.

More coachable = Probably LeBron

I think if LeBron has Kobe's killer instincts, he'll probably have 4 or 5 rings today... maybe even greater

-------------------------------

I think it's funny that the way the media rides LeBron is the same way the fans ride Kobe... and it seems like no on realizes that. Almost every non-LeBron fan thinks he/she's in the minority. It's hilarious. They're mad at the LeBron dickriding but they do the SAME EXACT THING with Kobe!

It's almost a crime to post a pro-LeBron content.. whether it's on a forum, social media, or whatever. If you post something pro-LeBron, you get clowned at.. If it's Kobe, you're the cool guy. You can't say anything bad about Kobe.. IT'S BLASPHEMOUS.

-------------
So yeah... AGAIN.. TWO THINGS:
I believe that the "Kobe being a bigger beast in the East and LeBron being weak in the West" is a MYTH........And the "LeBron love" is true.. but its similar to the "Kobe love" from the fans.

FANS = KOBE RIDER, CERTIFIED BRON HATER
MEDIA = LEBRON RIDER, (We can't say they're Kobe haters 'cause Kobe had his turn in his prime)

pretty good summary...only thing I disagree on is the better teammate. it's pretty widespread that Lebron is preferred over Kobe in that sense...no one wants a teammate who'll throw you under the bus or things of that nature when things arent going well.

nevertheless...:applause:

Thanks. Yeah... but if Kobe would just tone down his "assholeness" he'd be the better teammate.

impossible lol. he's going out on the low, unfortunately. he could of went out on a higher note if he accepted 2nd fiddle, probably make a deep playoff push but his ego and same "assholeness" won't allow him too. it's been his demise, and really hurt his overall legacy IMO.

if he was more accepting of his roles, him and Shaq likely have 5-6 titles together, probably consecutively too. he doesnt miss the post-season, he might be unbeaten in the Finals and still have many of the same accolades he has now, likely ranked higher in the GOAT Top10, too.

not that he's bad in the way it's turned out, but he could have been mostly unblemished throughout his career.

we can only hope...ISH should really have a separate forum for this, move all these comparisons, stanning, etc. to it and have them duke it out there

It would have more traffic than normal ish nba forum. Let's be honest, Kobetards/Branstans run this place.

5 is more than 2.

It's impossible to compare Kobe with 5 rings to someone that went 2/5.

That's like comparing Shaq to Chris Bosh.

Nash

so Lebron has better FG%, more points, more rebounds and more assists...

just what I thought

5 is more than 2.

11 is more than 6
5 is more than 2

you can figure out the names to those counts, not referring to Kobe and LBJ either

how easy things look when it's only face value...too hard to give a bit of context a run? does it hurt your head when you try? :lol :lol :lol

and 11, 6, and 5 are still more than 2.

exactly whats contradicting? and who told you to come out the corner. do you need more reference material to keep you busy?

sure those numbers are greater than the other...but anyone with a bit of a brain to understand context that it goes beyond that when discussing a player in depth. something you aren't capable of, sorry :confusedshrug:

LeBron is a better defender and better closer.

And that 4-5 rings maybe more if LeBron had a killer instinct doesn't make sense. I'd understand if you said 3 because of 2011.

If Kobe and lebron switched places, kobe would have 0 rings and 0 mvps.

ironically i don't think kobe is an overrated defender in his prime, he is an overrated closer though

People make the mistake that to be unbiased you should be on the fence. Not the case. LeBron is simply a better basketball player than Kobe, with more 2-way impact on the game, regardless of team accomplishments. Trying to please both sets of fanboys doesn't make you unbiased.

Kobe is a better shooter and probably a better man defender. Apart from that I'm struggling to think what Kobe is clearly better at. And no 'killer instinct' doesn't count when it's just chucking at times.

this is the most frustrating thing about lebron though, that doesn't have the urge to destroy his opponents every game even though he could

Ya'll confused, Lebron has played in this free reign offense his entire career based solely on him pounding the Ball. When Kobe got the chance to play like this in 2013 he put up better numbers at 34 years old no less. You telling me Lebron is gonna be averaging 27 6 and 6 at 34? :lol

You telling me you put Lebron in the triangle most of his career he averages the same numbers?

For Christ sake the man is a horrible shooter, do you really think he's a better shooter than Kobe?

Defenders don't give Kobe 5 feet and dare him to shoot.

Kobe has a better Post game/Midrange/ far more skilled/Better defender

Lebron's a better passer/ more athletic :confusedshrug:

And I'm sure Kobe's numbers look better once you just take the years he actually started.

05-12-2015, 07:09 PM
I see a lot of typical Kobe stan replies (5 vs 2 rings)...

I know ISH is full of Kobe and LeBron stans but I at least thought that wasn't gonna be brought up... not with what I wrote.

I said nothing about who's better.. I just said that them switching places and being different players (Kobe being better and LeBron weak) is a MYTH.

I'm also surprised that no one has replied about the media and fans' (us) similarities in riding either of the players
