238 people were on that train crew and passengers included. 200 plus injury casualties, 6 or 7 dead so far.

I used to take Amtrak trains from Cleveland to Pittsburgh back and forth when I went to college in Pittsburgh. Scary, you wouldn't think that this kind of accident could still happen in the 21st century.

No solid information yet on what caused it to derail, but currently suspected that it hit a turn too fast.

The accident is not really breaking since it's been going on since last night. But they did just report the train was going over 100 mph, in an area some experts say is very odd in city limits.

My girlfriend takes Amtrak when she visits her family and her grandmother has been dying so she has seen her a lot lately. She is actually on an Amtrak train right now. :(

Very sad. And a damn shame.

But 200 casualties and only a few dead? Did 197 of them come back to life?

I used the word they used. I just assumed casualty meant injured :confusedshrug:
