after you finish changing your tires and spin in your bolts, do you make it really really tight? or just tight enough so it can be taken out easily next time but it won't come loose when you drive?

Use a torque wrench my man, otherwise your wheels could fly right off!

This is like that thread last week about do you prefer vanilla as you get older. It was about ice cream.

Yeah, that is confusing, because so many other sweets could also be vanilla.

No kidding this once happened to me and my bri in a 240sx. I changed the wheel and lost a lugnut so i thought the remaining ones would be ok. Made it a couple miles until we were pulling out of a friends house and all of a sudden i feel the back drop and the wheel went flying a good couple hundred feet. So embarrassing bc it was in a white neighborhood, had it been in the hood no fvcks would be given

Look up online or in your owner's manual what torque the lug nuts need to be set at. Often times auto shops use impact guns and totally ignore the settings and just hammer the f*cking nuts on which is bad. Those lug nuts are made from steel and a lot of rims and softer metals like aluminum. Sometimes they can skip threads or just strip out the wheel totally, or the lug nut can break in half.
Tighten them up evenly that's the main consideration
the wrench that comes with the car is adequate if you give it a good "umph" the wrench is about a foot long so both hands on the end of it and get your back into it.. should give you about 80-90 pounds of pressure
never stand on it to tighten the lug nuts/lug bolts, that would be way to much torque unless you weigh 100 pounds or something
if you mess with your car a lot go buy a torque wrench, you'll find plenty of places to use it

Don't forget to take it out before the big explosion. Remember to let it flow down before you rub down the well-lubricated pipeline. Keep the lubricant ready for the next time - the wheel might ask for more "air"
