There are actually quite a few of us here. I aint denying there are band wagon fans but even the last four years, there are plenty of Cavs fans on this board, representing all of Ohio, not just Cleveland.

It's a shame that the city leaders don't know what the hell they are doing. Place is one notch up from the bottom of the barrel which is Detroit.

"Yay! Lebron is coming back to cleveland to change the economy here!"

He brought jobs to the city! (they hired a few more people at the arena to sell hot dogs)

I really never understood why Cleveland gets a bad rep. There is so much to do between the Q, progressive field, browns stadium. Rock hall, aquarium, casino, all the great bars and resturants, science museum, history museum, zoo, all the lake Erie stuff in summer whether its boating, fishing, the islands.

Ive been to a lot of big cities, I've been to 29 of the 50 states. It aint New York, Vegas or Orlando but it is certainly no worse than Indy, Detroit, st louis, lexington, really bout the same if not more in Cleveland.

And like any city, it does have its bad area, which is the east side. Nicer areas are down town and west side of town. South side (independence) is also a very nice area.

Noah has a temper problem. He commits terrible fouls out of frustration a lot of times. And some of them are flagrant fouls and rightfully called flagrants.

He actually sounds smart to me in interviews and stuff though.

Again though, there are a lot of big cities that have had tragedy and cold and/or muggy weather. Sports, Yeah. I don't think any city has had as much bad luck there. Still though, it takes nothing away from what the city has. Like, being brutally honest here..... disregarding the east side (which has nothing but the Cleveland Clinic, strange I know) Cleveland is a very clean and fun city. People talk about it on here like there are just bags of trash laying everywhere and that is not the case at all. Go to Detroit, St. Louis and I am sure plenty of other cities, you will see it there. Not Cleveland.

all the Cleveland haters are out today. There is nothing wrong with the city. People have this perception because of a bunch of Carson jokes. Yeah the river was polluted and caught fire. Big whoop. Like everyone else on the planet isnt polluting the shit out of the earth. That was also back in the 60s when no one really gave a shit. Bunch of people who know nothing about cleveland and never been here saying how much it sucks, what else is new.

Speaking of losers... here is a guy that joined in march and already has 725 posts. I would imagine that hardly anyone here has been to Cleveland, so you really need to shut up and find something else to rag about. You are a classic bandwagon jumper. How the **** does a river catch on fire?
The Cuyahoga River caught on fire in 1969, when the Steel Belt was still a legitimate source of production for the world. That wasn't only a "Cleveland problem," but a national one. It awakened serious environmental and pollution regulation around the country, eventually leading to the Clean Water Act and the EPA.

Honestly, the Cuyahoga and Lake Erie are closer to beach resorts than nests of pollution these days in the summer months. The kinds of issues that people so often bring up in threads like these stopped being relevant four decades ago.

Did you know the whole city of Chicago burned to the ground? How does that happen?

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e8/Chicago-fire1.jpg

Oh sure, it happened over 100 years ago, but still... :confusedshrug:

Cleveland is probably nothing like most people anticipate it would be. The reason I really like it is because you can go from a very urban, metropolitan environment to a relatively quiet, rural area in a matter of minutes. You can get both the city and the country experience within about a 30 minute to an hour drive.

The MetroParks are the best I have seen in any city and they're spread throughout the entire Greater Akron/Cleveland area. If you live here, chances are there is a huge MetroPark a few minutes from your home.

Cleveland also has a really good music scene, and is a cultural/ethnic mixed bag. There's absolutely no reason for it to take the amount of criticism that it does. Especially for a guy like Noah, whose whole experience in Cleveland seems to be derived from staring out his hotel window.

Toronto was named the best city to live in this January, with Montreal 2nd. Best USA city was San Francisco.

http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2015/01/29/toronto-named-best-place-to-live-by-economist.html

The PDF actually has things that are quantifiable and not biased to where a geography is. The whole weather thing is based on winter. Come spring time, Toronto is a great tourist destination, not that I think even during the holidays that nobody wants to visit here and check out some popular places.

Cleveland isn't even the Top 50 in the final index. Nothing against Cleveland as a city, but Toronto is a world class city.
