Get rid of Thibs, start getting younger? I feel like the window for this core is over, they underachieved big time.

What moves do they need to make from a roster perspective?

They need a time machine to bring back MJ and Company

This isn't NBA 2K with trade overrides. They are screwed.

Rose's albatross contract: 20 mil in 15-16, 21 mil in 16-17
Noah: 13 mil next year
Butler's match

You can't just "reload and go younger" when you have zero assets. Their only asset is literally Jimmy Butler.

No. More cap space is coming for every team.

If they match for Butler, and they should, they're hosed capwise. They'd have to play it out next year with minor moves and a new coach...go into 2017 with a ton of cap space when it goes up. See what you can do then.

MJ killed the city of Cleveland in the playoffs

Lebron raped the city of Chicago in the playoffs

They can't do anything. Bunch of albatross contracts and injured players.

"blow up" a team is generally used when the team won something in the past. not the case here :oldlol:

I think they need to look into trading Noah.

7 deep, the Bulls had height advantage and Thibes didn't post once. Doesn't have good post plays. Team rarely runs cuts. Atlanta would have beaten us if we had them in the second round. The game is more dynamic than Thibes can handle. Thibes has to go.

They have a future Kings' first and some young talent in Snell, McDermott, and Mirotic, even if Niko's the only likely starter, if they want to build a trade package. Noah expires next season and I think Taj has 2 more seasons.

I don't really expect them to trade anybody though. Cap-wise, they're kinda stuck with Rose's max, Butler's likely max deal, and the other vets on guaranteed deals.

I think a coaching change is imminent and maybe a change in scheme helps this team take another jump forward, to better maximize it. I could see Alvin Gentry being in the mix for this job.

This team is still very talented. Make a good coaching hire, let Rose and Noah rest and get healthier, re-sign Butler, and you're likely a top 2 team in the East.

This.
Its going to be hard to get better players except at SF. Thibes will only over play more players. If they can get an Atlanta or GS assistant they have to keep this team for one more year.

Thibes might have ran them into the ground. Rose/Noah and Butler all have a fire in them by nature. Thibes didn't have a lot of time with his starting unit and might have over depended on running things thru Gasol? Had the bench but didn't use it. Butler had to have been tired guarding Lebron like that. Noah just couldn't get it together. Rose had four regular season games but the fast pace of the playoffs tired him. That and he still couldn't do his crossover move or floater anyway. A lid was on the basket as well. Snell was ready. McDermott wasn't but person ell wasn't used effectively and execution still was bad.
