He averaged 20.1 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 4.6 assists and 1.9 steals with the Los Angeles Clippers in the 1993-94 NBA Season.

Was he hurt, or injured??

IIRC, he tore his ACL when he went to the Clips (Clippers curse) and his role on the Bulls was more about playing elite perimeter defense and shooting the J and what not, basically like a Derek Fisher. He was injured during the 95-96 season and returned for the Finals.

Ok Thanks. He was a 20/6/5 player when he played for the Cavaliers and Clippers.

Injured and that's the role he was happy to play in order to win:cheers:

Why did LeBald score 15 points in a crucial game today? Because stacked team is stacked:lol

Harper made a nice transition in his career after suffering the ACL injury.

He became a solid role player, another good defender on a team with Pippen, Jordan, and Rodman.

Ron Harper and Rodman were the dudes I liked on the Bulls. Oh and Jason Caffey. haha.

But yea Ronnie had knee issues by that time. He still started, though.

He tore his ACL in 1990 and was still a 20/5/5 player for 4 years before going to the Bulls.

NO one has offered any insight or analysis yet. Youngins...

Clippers in the early 90 was lowkey a solid team with Ron Harper, Mark Jackson, Loy Vaught, Ken Norman and prime Danny Manning.

They needed him to change his role. Kinda like David Lee right now, who could still be an 18-10 player if they asked him to.

You see, Harper's stats were good on paper, but he was inefficient as a scorer (he needed 18 attempts to score 20 points in 93-94), and needed the ball in his hands to be effective. That wasn't happening with Pippen and company, so Harper decided to reinvent himself as a perimeter defender. Also, MJ came back during the last part of the season, so in a way, Harper was already pigeon-holed into his role, which he did very well during the 2nd 3peat.

He was never the same after his injury and he was never the greatest shooter, so he wasn't a perfect fit for us at first. Even his defense wasn't all there. Believe it or not, he would actually get benched back then late in games.
