His defense has been pretty good this season and he's had one of his better overall seasons since his rookie year. This has also been his first time into the playoffs, which I hope motivates him to put in the work to get better.

He's always been good on drives, one of the better rebounders for his position, and a very good playmaker. I feel like all he needs to get to the next level is a decent jumper.

Keeping in mind he just turned 25 and is the same age (slightly younger) as Jimmy Butler, do you think he's got what it takes to become an all-star? What's his ceiling?

He, along with davis, need to go to a legit franchise so they wont waste away their primes. Hes a solid player, carried the pels when davis/jrue were both out.

Can't shoot. Poor finisher with his left hand. Classic example of a guy who has always been able to blow by folks and get to the rim, so he never developed his pull up game, spot up game, or left hand finishes.

He's a great athlete with a great handle and a decent feel for the game.

The Pelicans are actually in a great position to put together a legit contender 2016-17. They only have Jrue, Evans, and Pondexter on payroll as of right for that season for a total of $24.8 million. Assuming AD gets the max from them, and the salary cap goes up to $80m that season, the Pelicans actually have a solid cast for that season.

They'll have the cap space to sign a max player and put some solid role players around this squad.

I really hope they let go of Gordon and Anderson. I'm also hoping they don't overpay Asik.

Can you imagine if KD decides NO is the place for him?

Jrue
Tyreke
Durant
AD
Asik

Pondexter

The league could be in trouble if this core comes together.

his jumper has been his biggest issue his whole career, 5 straight years, and hes still a terrible shooter, so id say its unlikely he makes some jump as a shooter, and i think it really limits the player he can be.

i doubt he gets much better than he already is right now.

The thing is, everyone will have tons of cap space at that time. NO isnt exactly a place free agents are flocking too. He needs to have some goat level impact and recruiting like lebron to attract free agents there.

But if durant joins that team I am officially becoming a pelicans fan
