he played 22 minutes through the first 3 games and his team was 2-1

since coming back full time they are 1-2

any other star gets crucified for this, Paul gets a pass from the media and fans a like again...

Dude sees ghosts out there in pressure situations. He's a career loser for a reason. Doesn't have the KG excuse of bad teammates either.

I think the Clips are going to win and Paul will play well in game 7 but the way he gets a pass compared to other stars is ridiculous.. they don't wanna hold him to these incredible standards they hold other stars too but they are so eager to put him in the discussion with those same guys as soon as he does well

the double standard is dumb

agreed

harden gets roasted for not playing the 4th, which was just a good coaching decision since the bench was going off

paul can do no wrong, imagine if lebron choked that game away?

At least he's good at dressing up like an uncle Tom and pretending to sell insurance

Like who? Nobody has ever really compared him with guys like Lebron, Kobe, Durant, Duncan, Dirk, etc. He's been pretty much a level below them and deservingly so.

CP3 is a perfect second option player.

He would be perfect behind a guy like...I don't know.....Kobe maybe?

That's the thing. Statistically he is completely on their level, the fact that he chokes in the playoffs every single year is why he's not in reality.

You have to take into account the record book and having to face the greatest dynasty ever in the playoffs. So the answer to your question is:

ok so thanks for admitting that PER doesn't mean that player "X is on player Y's level"

your original post is now pointless

Cp3 is an amazing player but at his core, he's a choker. And that's sad cause I'm a Clip fan.

I'm hardly a cp3 fan but this series wasn't his fault

Of course it's not only his fault, but I mean...

He's the leader of this team and they just had one of the worst choke jobs in NBA history. He was a complete ghost in the 4th qtr of game 6 when the series and game was collapsing around him...

You combine that with his epic choke in game 5 last year...and this stuff has to get a mention.

Part of being a great basketball player is playing great in these moments and being consistently great in them.

Paul seems, at least so far in his career, to just not have enough consistency. And that is what it takes to make deep playoff runs as a superstar.

The last 2 years in the playoffs are definitely not a good look for Paul. He's had plenty of help and couldn't get it done.

Still an all time great, but how players perform and lead in the playoffs really matters for determining how great.

At this point we have to hold Paul accountable. Same thing for Griffin as well mind you.
