Serious question. Just curious to see if there are any posters out there that believes Houston will advance to the Finals.

Nobody was beating them. What's your point?

I believe they will win. Harden's going to show he should've been named MVP. I hope.

Unlikely, but still possible

I'm not making a point. I'm simply curious. I'm sure if the Clippers advanced you would see a few picking them to beat GS, but with Houston winning I don't see anyone picking them, which is pretty rare for a conference finals series. I'm trying to think when was the last time a conference finals seemed so lopsided on PAPER.

No.

But you gotta play the game. Someone gets injured, someone goes off, refs, chokes, you just gotta wait and see.

If the Warriors went 8-0 to win the title, would anyone really be surprised? Not really.

Could go either way. Howard staying out of foul trouble is key.

I do, Houston just mentally broke the Clips, who beat the defending champs. They have "The Force" now. I will avy bet anyone.

It's gonna be a closer series than people think. Everyone, including myself, have doubted Houston all season. Maybe it's time to give them a little respect.

This year's Spurs weren't as good as people think tbh. Parker was garbage, Green couldn't hit the ocean from a boat, and Splitter couldn't give them anything either.

It's gonna be real tough series for the Rockets, but I say we have a chance. After what happened against the Clippers, you can't count out the Rockets and say the Warriors will sweep or win in 5 games. I say it'll go to 6 or 7 games. May the better team win http://forums.comcast.com/comcastsupport/i/smilies/smiley-wink.gif

At this point Houston has a lot of momentum. If I were the Warriors I would not take them lightly. They believe they can win. They have Finals and Conference championship players on their team. They know what it takes to win.

So I give them that edge but I'm still rooting for my Warriors. They will win if the stay focused on their game and their style of play. Don't let up.

I think they COULD have a chance if they still had Beverly and Montejunas. Now? No way

If Dwight and Harden play to the top of their ability, they've gotta good chance.

I have to believe it can happen for the sake of the $3500 I can win. But if I had to pick a winner I'd have to go with Golden State.

I was going through my old facebook pages a few days ago and found a status I made back in 2009 - "Curry and Ellis, now that's Golden!"

I loved Curry ever since watching his run with Davidson.

Interesting fact:

Remember another time the runner-up MVP played against the MVP?

Thats right: the dream vs the admiral

This year's Spurs weren't as good as people think tbh. Parker was garbage, Green couldn't hit the ocean from a boat, and Splitter couldn't give them anything either.

Parker and Splitter were slowly recovering from an injury and Green was 10th in 3pt% while shooting the 7th (made the 8th) most in the NBA.

I think all they needed to do was get through the first round, let health catch up, and they would have been back in the Finals.

But.. Duncan passed the torch to a second round hero and now we got an anticlimactic conference finals leading to the Warriors vs Cavs.

I doubt it. However, Harden is the perfect player to slow them down (endless parade to the FT line), and limit their fast break points (#1 in the NBA). Houston had a top 10 defense even with Dwight missing all those games.

Anything can happen in the playoffs, Warriors shouldn't underestimate the Rockets and Rockets shouldn't be overconfident that they came back from a 3-1 deficit.

I dont forecast series but in the end Rockets will be soaring high in the Universe

i don't think anyone is overconfident from coming back 3-1. when u come back from that kind of deficit u become humble.

Hopefully not. But if there are, then they need to leave ISH and post on Clutchfans. Believing the Rockets will beat the Warriors is borderline trolling and they should be banned for it.

Golden State could always go cold. They are a team that relies heavily on the jumpshot.

But no... I don't think it's very likely.

Well, we already had our reenactment of Clutch City with the Clippers filling the Suns' role. Now we have the Warriors in place of the Spurs: no. 1 seed with the MVP that swept the Rockets in the regular season.

I think I'm going to bet on them. I've seen +435 out there, which is an absolute monster number for a conference final (which means if you bet 100 on Houston and they win you collect 435).

I think they've stumbled onto something here since Beverly got hurt. Playing Brewer and Ariza at the same time gives them some serious size and athletic advantages all over the perimeter. The ability to switch on everything seems to really allow Harden to hide some of his defensive liabilities. It forces him to play way more PG than he's suited for. It costs them some easy buckets in transition. But overall it's a net positive. Terrence Jones playing well is a coup too. He can space enough from the PF position to help make room for Dwight.

Basically they're not likely to win in my mind. But they've got a hell of a lot better chance than being over 4 to 1 odds. You can hedge all over this series at +435.

I don't see how they can lose the chip if their key players stay healthy.

If the Rockets play like they did the last 5 quarters this will be a very entertaining series. The obvious pick is GSW, they have been great all year.

Hey I seriously do think we'll beat them. I'm debating on how much money I'm gonna bet on it. I can't fully explain how or why, but I feel like we're gonna beat them. We aren't the same team that got swept. We have some key players that are healthier than before. This game 7 is gonna light a fire under these boys.
