This dunk and any dunks these days would be a hell of a lot more impressive theatrically speaking, if none of the dick head friends were around him in the gym to hoot and holler after he makes it and if he didn't scream like King Kong.

Their overreaction makes it seem like he attempted it 10,000 times and finally made one. If he just did this in a quiet gym with a slow mo replay, or at least if his friends would just control themselves a bit, I think I'd appreciate it more.

What is with the overreaction culture in dunk videos these days anyways? It's like the hype factor has to be ratcheted up to stage 5 for anyone to like a dunk anymore.

Dude... I would've been jumping around like a theatrical dick head if he'd done that, no matter how many times he'd tried it.

That's just an insane dunk.

Shit... just to even 'think' about doing that shit is crazy.

Hmmm you might be right I guess I'm just getting too much exposure to all the shouting and screaming. Every dunk video I click on on Youtube I almost want to mute because everyone is just right on cue shouting and screaming like they just won the heavyweight title.

The dunks are technically speaking, incredible no doubt. I think the shouting has gotten to me after seeing a hundred dunk videos :lol

It's like the hype factor has to be ratcheted up to stage 5 for anyone to like a dunk anymore. The dunks are incredibly impressive to me regardless, but I'm otherwise with you on the reactions. The fellows' reactions in this guy's videos have seemed especially forced, like they were mimicking the other videos they'd watched over the years. I admit it's overdone and lame.

Legit, spontaneous excitement is one thing, like when a player pulls off something in a game you didn't see coming. Those are actually great moments and I love the real reactions. But when you know what a guy's trying to pull off, and you've watched him give it a go a few times already, the reaction should already be dulled. The forced responses are merely out of the pages of "How best to make a YouTube video most profitable".

We used to go crazy over way easier dunks than that.

I saw a guy jump over the gym teacher(lady who was probably 5'6'') in a pep rally and the gym pretty much exploded.

The adrenaline rush id get just doing a shitty putback over a friend makes me not question what anyone does after some superhero shit like that.

Didn't Dipo try that Kwe Parker dunk in this year's contest?

Someone needs to get Lavine and Wiggins to watch all these vids. Probably the 2 guys in the NBA that can do most of this shit. Next year's contest in Toronto has all time potential.

I feel the same. Lavine could legit do all those dunks but he lacks a lot of imagination.

WTF...its called having fun.

I'm not sure who these guys are or what level the dunker plays in, if he's in any league at all. But he just pulled off a never-seen-before dunk and everyone there new it and reacted accordingly.

If my friend did this, i'd be going even more nuts than this guys friends were.

To be honest, I doubt the bolded part isn't what pretty much happened (he's either tried this or similar dunks multiple times). You usually don't pull such dunks on the spur of the moment.
