The Knicks have been in quite a few lotteries since i've been a fan. It doesnt' feel like it because we trade picks like Candy, but we are there often, and we do horrific. So if there is a fix in places, why now and not before?

People can't be bothered to say a positive word about the Knicks but they can be bothered to do something illegal (literally) to help us?

People say this every year and it almost never happens. My guess is that a team like Sacramento, Detroit, or Orlando will end up with the #1 pick by the end of the day.

If Miami ends up with the #1 pick, I can assure you there will be an investigation. Also, you need to realize that Adam Silver is not only the NBA commissioner, but he's also a lawyer (which means he's held to higher ethical standards than a random guy working for the NBA). I highly doubt he's willing to put his entire career and reputation on the line just so LA or NY can improve slightly due to a top draft pick.

To be fair, Towns won't have a major impact on any team for another 2-3 years (he probably won't average more than 9 and 7 rookie year with good defense). If the Lakers want someone who can come in and put up 16+/8+ right away, Okafor would be the better choice.

Not if the NBA is going to be entertaining. Someone has to actually try to win. Noel isn't that great of a prospect anyhow, he's looking like a Camby-type which would make him a solid starter or rotation player but not a star. Embiid looked promising in college but is still unknown in the NBA. And it's rumored they tried to trade him (of course) so they could tank some more. What they get out of this year of failure is unknown. The franchise has become a bad joke. Losing is actually a bad thing. The league needs teams that are trying to compete. Not this crap.
