LMA is a game changer. Tyson Chandler is a game changer on defense. Stevie Franchise was a baller for a while until he just melted down.
Still, what's this list supposed to prove? Most picks, outside of surefire #1s, are more miss than hit anyway.
Haters just salty. :kobe:

you cant just look at who was selected specifically 2nd
you have to look at all players that came after the 1st pick. because thats who the lakers can select if they want

are people ****ing stupid. the lakers got the number 2 pick. they can pick anyone that is not the number one pick. it will be good or bad only time will tell. putting up a list of the number two picks from the past means nothing because those dudes happened to be picked second doen't mean they were all objectively the second best player of the draft.

Not everyone is stupid when it comes to drafting like the Clippers.
Clippers on suicide watch, first a colossal playoff choke and now Lakers getting the #2 pick getting ready to take back L.A. after a short vacation :lol

The Lakers have had 2 #2 picks in NBA History.
The first one in 1960 we used to draft Jerry West.
The second one in 1975 we used to draft Dave Meyers who we immediately traded to the Bucks for guess who... Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
So the LAKERS have a history of making franchise changing decisions with the 2nd overall pick. History is on our side.
Fail thread.

To quote Bill Simmons:
Draft picks the Clips could have made had they just drafted Player B instead of Player A since 1976: Vandeweghe; Wilkins; Willis; Stockton; either McDaniel or Mullin; Price; Pippen, Jackson and Lewis; Rice; Brandon; either Grant or Jones; one of Wallace, Stackhouse or Garnett; Kobe; one of Pierce, Carter or Bibby; Okafor; either Stoudemire or Butler; and Granger.
Players the Clips stupidly gave away or lost without getting anything substantial back: Moses, McAdoo, Dantley, Cummings, Chambers, Manning, Odom, Miller, Brand.

Good history. I usually don't pay attention to draft but this is the only year where I can say we have a great chance of drafting a possible franchise player as long as I have been following the Lakers. Laker haters does not like that feeling:oldlol:

Those were, at least, some pretty good picks... And you can add Camby and Chandler more for defense, plus I think Jabari will fall under that category too.
REAL game-changers there? You can argue close to - but no more than - 10.
