that only a few have heard of... and 80% of the time they just ride the bench or be a big bust.

I'm not saying they're not talented. I'm just basing it with the history of Euros that are picked in the lottery. Why do they always end up that high if a lot of the past ones are busts?

Because no one wants to pass up on that Dirk, Gasol.

their has been no notable euro players in lottery since 2011 and that was big bust year. but most are taken after the lottery.

Every year! And 90% of them suck. Porzingis and Henzonja will be no different. Dirk and Gasol are exceptions, not the rule.

Glad Riley pays no mind to them in the draft.

Their hasn't being a euro in the lottery since 2011 fools and the last one since 2011 was gallanari who was good for his postion.

Dirk's was different, Euro busts weren't a trend at that time. I think that pick might've started all of this.

Gasol was a lucky pick. No Euro was that good instantly. It's not wise for lottery teams to expect it every year.. especially if it happens once or twice a decade.

Fournier and vucevic aren't bad. Schroeder ain't bad. Gobert ain't bad. There's still decent euros recently. Mario should contribute based on his shooting. Porzingis is the potential based pick who could be a big bust.

With late lottery (and worse) picks you're not going to get a US star, at best you'll get a decent role player and they are expendable. So you take a risk and go for Antetokounmpo. Even if he doesn't pan out, the loss is small.

Europeans should stick to playing Rugby because they f*cking suck at basketball.
