Does anyone here have recommendations for mexico city? i'll be there saturday through monday and looking to make this an anthony bourdain type of trip. i'm looking to see beautiful sites, devour delicious food, and mingle with the noble people.

i'm ok with going off the beaten paths for adventure (as long as i dont get lured into the middle of a gang war!)

but i would also like to spend my evenings in trendier and safer parts of the city with a good night life. where can i go meet a tele mundo chick?:oldlol: any advice will be appreciated and future repped. thanks!!

p/s me and my friends don't speak any spanish nor do we know anyone there to translate for us. we were just going to rely on an ap. should i go ahead and hire a vip services to take care of all the necessities?

As a Latino, the best way to befriend someone from my experience is to treat everyone as family. Latinos are a big-time family oriented type of people. That's why Mexican families consist of lots of family members.

If you find yourself amongst a group of men who may look intimidating, the easiest thing to do is to portray yourself as family. They know you're not from there, but that doesn't mean that they won't respect you as long as you think they are part of your familia. I would approach the group and just express that you are part of their familia. Here's what I would say, so write this down and practice saying it out loud:

"Ustedes son unos pinche culeros. Mi familia, es mejor que tu lambache raza."

Which translates to:

"You guys are good guys. Brave warriors who are now part of my family."

What a coincidence, I'm available this weekend. Hire me.

"Aguaje" = after hours beer dealer, actually they'll obtain anything for you(women, drugs, etc). Not sure about mexico city but most places ive been to in mexico stop selling beer after 12, its law.

Definitely hire someone tho, and be careful, dont flex your money...thats how you end up kidnapped or ripped off.

When choosing taco stands or other street food, be sensible enough to choose the ones with a lot of clients.

Don't ever call them "chilangos", thats like telling a white person in a trailer park they are white trash.

You know how to dance cumbia? Bishes down there love cumbia.

we usually ask the cab drivers to get us shit, nut the last costa rica trip we had a host with connections so everything was much smoother. hoping to find something similar for mexico city.

what about sights and restaurants? any must see views or michelin rated restaurants? also, what about the night life? any world class bars or nightclubs?

i wish i knew cumbia

Damn you balling. Cant comment on the finer things in mexico, im poor :( i do play soccer with some rad dudes from DF, but i wont see them until sunday. They're some of the coolest ppl i know.

Im sure you'll find someone who speaks english, you will quickly realize that most mexicans are very approachable and easy going. Their culture is very laid back, no one takes themselves too seriously and many are even more happy to serve you as thwy stand to benefit from your visit.

In mexico strip clubs are called "tables". The taxi ppl are pretty reliable, they'll point you the more popular night clubs.i forgot you're like a lawyer or something right?

If all else fails, bring ur fitted suits, go to the expensive stores like prada or gucci and make convo with some hottie, ask her you're tryna to hit the club, those rich kids will point you in the right direction.

I swear, you got it all rezz, you can say to hot girls: "soy abogado, te puedo arreglar los.papeles usando el amenstia programa de obama"

It means: I'm a lawyer, i canhelp.you get a green card using obamas amnesty program

You can even tell other "avocados" :D that. I know a guy who married a lady in Mexico that was a lawyer. She works in the fields here in the US picking vegetables :lol
