12 are from the Western Conference.
Just throwing that out there.

and the east will still win it this year
I agree, there is a title contending team in the East.
The rest of the conference is still hot garbage though.

G State will destroy Cleveland and would also beat down Atlanta. Three good to great defenders to throw at James in Green. Thompson and Iggy. Kyrie Irving will be trying to match Curry hurt. They were the best team in both ends this season. Idiots will soon be saying 2/6.

It's mostly based on winning records which the west usually has more so. That's why Kyle Korver was named an all star.

winning records? Give me players from the East that would statistically/impact wise be better than
AD
Curry
CP3
Blake
Harden
Westbrook
KD
Kawhi
DMC
Howard
LMA
Marc Gasol
Duncan
Klay
Lillard
You'd put in Lebron, Kyrie and Wall, maybe Paul George if he ever recovers 100%.
And it's only going to get worse because Wiggins was moved to the West, then this year's draft 2 top picks go West, healthy KD, healthy Kobe...Parker will probably bounce back from his down year..
NBA needs to do away with their current seeding and all-star format. Guys like Kyle Korver and Jeff Teague and Paul Millsap should not be named all-star players.

I would not want Klay guarding Lebron for extended periods of time. Klay looked shook guarding Harden when he started going off last game. His defense got worse and worse. He committed dumb fouls. He turned the ball over down the stretch. The only good that came out of it was that Klay didn't back down, he kept going at Harden which could be interpreted as a good sign.
It will be very interesting to see what lineup the Warriors will favor against the Cavs IF they both make it.
I like Curry/Klay/Iggy/Barnes/Green lineup against Cleveland because just about any switch on Lebron would be okay and he's the only real threat.

You sag off Lebron and let him shoot the long ball and make sure you don't leave his teammates open, kill the Cavs with the 3-ball on the other end of the floor. They did lose their only match-up with Lebron playing this season as he went off, but Klay and Kyrie both had off nights and they only lost by 10 or so points, you're gonna have those nights but Warriors are much more potent offensively and Cavs ain't that hot on the defensive end.
There isn't much they can do with guarding Lebron 1 on 1, but they can make sure to pack the paint and dare him to shoot the J, he is more than willing to shoot long 2s and 3s in the Playoffs so far and he's very inconsistent, you can live with a loss or two where he goes off like the Spurs did last year. Steph will put the brakes on Kyrie and Klay will handle JR.
Maybe give Iggy more minutes off the bench, he can defend Bran better than Barnes.

If healthy, Melo would have for sure made it. A healthy Bosh makes it too.
Love on his own team in the East would make it, and Paul George would have had a strong case as well.
Just injuries and strings of bad luck.

Give me one season in the last 5 years where there weren't injuries and strings of bad luck in the East.
Plus, even if Love and Melo were healthy, a healthy KD and Kobe would have a better case over them.

Healthy Kobe was a top 3 player in 2013, broken down Kobe still put up a 30-point triple double and a 20-point triple double and had 17 assists against the Cavs and dropped 44 on the Warriors, destroyed the Hawks in crunch time on the road - all that after tearing his achilles and breaking his knee and while playing with a torn rotator cuff.

Body soreness and loss of jumping ability is one thing, but if he can avoid major injuries for one season, he's still an all-NBA player and better than one-dimensional Melo or a 3rd option Kevin Love.
He needs a decent supporting cast around him so he doesn't have to try to be a hero every night because he's playing on a losing team. All those chucked shots while trying to climb out of a hole hurt his efficiency and from all reports he had the shoulder injury since pre-season... He has the skillset to be more of a facilitator instead of a chucker and he showed it even this season, he can drop 10 assists with relative ease but he needs a team around him to play that role successfully.

You listed 3 games, and failed to mention that he was as detrimental to the team as he was helpful in most of the others. Over an 82 game season Kobe will not be an elite player.
He was also not top 3 in 2013.

why are you not a coach in the nba?
also, losing by "only" 10+ is now a small thing according to you.
considering that Klay and Steph shot a combined 30% or so and that Bran went off for 42? And @Cleveland? Absolutely.

i edited because i think i posted in the wrong thread. am i too high?
anyways, why is it that every player on the opposing team has to score 20+ before guys like you give him some credit? klay has a lot of bad games.

2 triple doubles in wins against Toronto and Denver
44 vs Warriors in 31 minutes
20/6/6/3 + game-winner vs Indy
career-high assists vs Bran
28 pts on 56% shooting, clutch performance @ATL
32/3/6 + game-winning FTs vs Kings
22/5/9/4 with a win on the road in San Antonio
29/5/7 with a win on the road in Houston
26/5/5/5 on 56% shooting in a 1 pt loss to Minny
That's plenty for a guy that played 35 games and was on minutes restriction in the last 10 games and on a torn rotator cuff on a team with a bunch of scrubs.
Put Kobe on a decent roster and he'll be more effective, simple and plain. You can't expect him to be a 25/5/5 guy on 45% shooting on a team where the 2nd best player is Jordan Hill and the 2nd best scorer averages 13 points on 37% shooting off the bench.. No help means it's easy for teams to lock in on Kobe all game and force him to give up the ball or take a contested shot.
You put him on a team where he can go 1 on 1 in the post, play off-ball and come off screens and get the occasional wide open 3 and he's going to be much more efficient with his scoring.
